I'm not sure why there's even discussion of us storming the court against Duke. I don't think anyone actually thinks we should do this.
The only conceivable court-storming scenario would be the next Saturday. Villanova could be #1. I think they jump Texas this week to #3. Kansas gets Mizzou and goes to Kansas State this week. Kentucky probably will not lose to South Carolina or Vanderbilt, but I'm just saying it might happen. If you throw in an unfortunate week for us, it might look like a potential court-stormer. I think we have had too much success against them in the recent past, but if it's a close game, who knows.
Also, Top 25 should not be a barometer for who gets to storm the court. UConn shouldn't have, but only because Texas just lost. If Kentucky is undefeated in mid-February and goes into Mississippi State or Vanderbilt (both of whom may be ranked at the time), that team has every right to storm the court.

In my opinion, there has just been way too much court storming this year, the worst being when Indiana students stormed the court after beating an UNRANKED Minnesota team. I feel like every week, a good 5 games feature court storming. Its not necessary.

Storming the court after the Duke win was cathartic. It was a notice to the basketball world that we were back. The up-and-coming unranked Hoyas knocking off the undefeated and consensus best team in the country warranted a mid-court celebration.
Now, I'd only consider rushing the court if I didn't expect to win, which obviously never happens anymore.

Now, I'd only consider rushing the court if I didn't expect to win, which obviously never happens anymore. Exactly. With the exception of last year's dark days, that Duke game was the last time where I felt like we had no chance of winning going into the game. This year's team can't really pull off shock victories right now. We're just too good, and I hope it stays that way. Now, if we come back from 20 down with 5 minutes to go to win on a last second halfcourt shot when Cuse comes to the Verizon Center, then storming the court might be allowable. But outside of that, we'll cheer our victories from the stands, like we've done for every home victory since 1/21/06.

College of Charleston stormed the court after beating UNC. That's perfectly acceptable. They then stormed the court again after beating Wofford. That's just pathetic.
