I remember a big comeback at home against Pitt in '87, but I forget how many it points it was. I do remember Jerome Lane talking to the Hoyas going into the locker room as if the game was over, and Reggie went for 31. it was rod brookin, not lane. brookin told reggie 'nice game' at halftime. reggie told the boys, and we came out and smoked them in the 2nd half.

Pretty sure we were down big (like 15 or 16) to UAB in the NIT semis in 1993 at MSG. Probably 15 minutes left or so. While not as big as some of the others mentioned, pretty sure UAB barely scored for the rest of the game, b/c we won 45-41. That I remember. Wish we could blame the lack of a shot clock for that abomination....

What made the game more tolerable for me was the free beers at Beefsteak Charlie's w/dinner before the game....
RIP Beefsteak's.....

Hoyas were down 17 in the 2nd half of that game ( link) The Hoyas reached the final with a gritty defensive game needed to overcome a dismal offense. They wore down U.A.B., which led by 24-14 at the half and opened a 17-point lead to 17:44 to go. Georgetown closed with a 31-10 run, and Birmingham didn't score in the game's final 9:24.

The other biggest comeback, not in terms of double digit deficit, but in terms of time and score, came in 1980 at BC, where GU trailed by 8 with 58 seconds to go. Also pre-three point shot. Mike Frazier tied the game with a traditional three point play at the buzzer (all BC had to do was let him score without fouling him), and the Hoyas dominated the OT for the win. I remember watching this -- Frazier hadn't hit a shot beyond four feet all year, then he banks a 12-footer and drains the free throw. Unreal.
