Have we started yet? I'm trying to get the game on channelsurfing and all I'm getting is the mark few show! WTF?
FYI: The game is on ESPN2 and ESPN360.

ESPN2.
What's up with Austin? He doesn't seem to be moving much on O or D or is he just not moving well?

Just when you think we got the game in hand, we make some careless turnovers and blow our lead.
Play of the half: Pick and roll between Wright and Vaughn where Chris gives Julian the nod to cut and Julian pulls up for the soft bank. Didn't know he had that arrow in his quiver.

You can attribute almost that entire 10-0 to Henry on both ends of the floor. Turning it over on one end and getting absolutely torched on the other.
That's why on the Henry discussion thread I said that the object was winning games, and not developing a guy. JTIII left Henry in there for three possessions too long and we've now gone from a comfortable lead to a dogfight.

No Big East game is going to be easy this year.
Austin was the key tonight.
I thought the offense got some great looks tonight.

Freak was huge. For every time someone on this board said "he is fat and has lost a step" a professional sports announcer comments "love the frame, the strength". Granted, lots of times that announcer is Raf, but Freak is strong, Freak is good.

That's why on the Henry discussion thread I said that the object was winning games, and not developing a guy. JTIII left Henry in there for three possessions too long and we've now gone from a comfortable lead to a dogfight. Henry had some big rebounds for us in the first half. He earned that second half playing time. In his defense, it really was a horrible match-up for him defensively. It didn't cost us the game, infact I think it benifitted the team more to be in a close game and it got him some experience. If he plays the way he did in the first half for us most of the time he will be very valuable. Overall great win, a lot to improve on, but showed toughness they definitely lacked last year.

Nice win tonight. We played well on offense. Not to kill the kid, but if Sims does not create that run for SJU, this game goes down a lot easier. CW and Austin played great tonight, and we played just well enough on the boards to hold off a team we could not beat last year. Consider one of last year's demons down, this is a good mental win for these Hoyas.

Great hustle by all. Free was great. Chris was awesome (decision making not an issue AT ALL tonight). Greg's passing was sick.
Happy and healthy 2010 to all! HOYA SAXA!

I'll leave any negative discussion until later. Great win to get the bad taste of 2 straight losses to St Johns out of our mouths and a great way to end one decade and prepare for another. Happy New Years!!!
Also, Jack looked pretty handsome in his tuxedo

Henry did have a rough stretch there. No question. Beyond that, the runner 3's with D all over them were a large part of the run as well. If that's the type of 3 we give up, I can easily live with that and just tip the cap.

like temple, this was a great toughness win. We have to get Vee and Jerrelle some more time, or some of our guys may wear out down the stretch.

Great win. Austin - great dunks - been waiting for that forever. Vaughn - when have we ever seen that type of intensity in rebounding? Perimeter defense -- awesome - especially Chris making the switches. Greg -- he sets the tone for the team - he is the heart and soul. Henry - not so good. Depth is a HUGE issue for this team. We need quality minutes from Hollis, Benimon and Vee. Forget Henry.

tashoya, I agree SJU stayed in this game launching prayers from the three point line. Made it very frustrating when we would get good look after good look from the offense and then see that crap dropping for them.

It's a win. Free continues to be solid and Chris keeps improving and impressing. This could be Chris's year.
Improvement areas...lack of help from the bench (by design or not) and turnovers.

We have three of the best players in the league in Greg, Austin and Henry.
If the guys around them get better, this team will be very dangerous
