i also got the troop numbers question wrong, just like the unemployment and DJIA questions that i did get right, i think these are trivia and show no knowledge of anything. as someone else said above they should have asked if DJIA had rebounded, if unemployment had gone up, and given broad ranges for troops since that is the knowledge that is important and still shows you understand what is going on in the world I got the troop question wrong as well. I underestimated the number of troops, since I know that there isn't enough troops there at the moment

I may have gotten the quiz questions right, but it doesn't mean I'm smart. For instance, it took me about 15 minutes to figure out what the uproar was about this letter: Governator to CA Assembly: "F*** You" ;D

I underestimated the number of troops, since I know that there isn't enough troops there at the moment It's still a small number of troops, when you consider that Afghanistan is bigger than Iraq and that the majority of the population is rural, not urban, so you have to spread troops out. It's also less than most theories for success in counterinsurgency would require.

Massive egos playing kids games with our money and lives. It's good times.

Don't forget that this "coded message" follows on Ca. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano telling the Governor to "kiss my gay ass."
Indeed, good times in The Golden State. Good times.

Though if you know Tom Ammiano, you just kind of expect it. When he was running for Mayor of San Francisco as more or less the gay candidate against Gavin Newsome and Matt Gonzalez (who was the Green Party candidate who barely lost to Newsome), I did like him. Not for his politics, but because when one of the local parties called up each of the candidates and interviewed them using the Turing Test questions from bladerunner, I believe he was the only one who caught on. Voight-Kampff TestThe article determines that Newsome is indeed a replicant.
