That little bit of putting Jerry Dome alongside the Taj Mahal and the Collesium is the best example of all that is wrong with life.
And George and Laura are looking good

(although the secondary is sucking it up right now, and the quarterback doesnt know how to run 2 yards in a wide open field for a first down, im not expecting a win)

What are the chances that Chad Pennington has locked himself in his closet/locker and is listening to the chorus from "Clocks" on repeat? Seriously, I'm almost unable to enjoy this win, it's like getting away with grand larceny...

That game was so irritating. I'm not a big Dolphin fan, but I was pulling for them. And regardless of how dominating they seemed to be for much of the game, I still just "knew" that Indy was going to find some way to win in the end.

Everyone can now thank me for the Lions win. I told people all week that I would end that losing streak by taking Washington in the elimination pool.

While I am sure hifi had something to do with it ( ), I think the Redskins loss can also be at least partially blamed on the fact that, ummmm.....THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP TO PLAY!! I've never seen a more disinterested football team in my whole life. My nephew's Pop Warner team of 10-year olds has more focus. I hate the Redskins, no secret there. But I love Jim Zorn. He was a great player, is a good man, and I thought would be a good coach. But I have to put a lot of this on him. This team has no energy whatsoever. Ultimately that is the players' responsibility, of course, but your coach behaves like a disinterested spectator most of the time, well... (And I won't even get into all of the tactical problems with the Redskins...) It bums me say it, because I've always really liked Jim Zorn, but I don't think he's a head coach. If Washington loses to the Bucs, Zorn is going to be looking for work by next Tuesday. Meanwhile.....Joe Flacco: MEGA-Superstar!!!!

No comments yet on the great one himself, Brett Favre?

The great part of that play was Greg Lewis.

The great part of that play was Greg Lewis. Oh, no doubt. I like the analogy Cris Collinsworth gave last night comparing that play and catch to Santonio Holmes' in the Super Bowl. Obviously, not as much on the line, but it was still about as dramatic as it can get. And for the record, Favre did play well and did what he needed to do to allow his team a chance to win. I don't know if he did it on purpose, but he did put that ball EXACTLY where it had to be to be completed.

That play just typifies why people hate Favre and his media entourage.
The throw was a good throw. It wasn't perfect, and I don't know that you could say it was thrown the ONLY place or the BEST place to be completed. Lewis was actually pretty open for a bit.
Lewis made an INCREDIBLE catch. Just amazing. And the announcers gush about FAVRE -- the announcers didn't even bother to mention Lewis' catch for a while. I don't think another QB in the league gets that treatment, even Brady and Manning.

I don't think another QB in the league gets that treatment, even Brady and Manning. I understand your point and there is certainly a degree of "lifetime achievement" in every play by a veteran of his status. In fairness, I didn't see the game. All I saw was the sportscenter and Football night highlights, but at least from what I saw, there was certainly a lot to credit Favre for. But I don't say that to take any credit away from Lewis. He did an amazing job of going up and getting a ball that still had a good amount of heat on it and then getting his feet down with no margin to spare and then keeping control of the ball to avoid any possibility of an referee involvement. But to be fair to Brett, it wasn't just that one throw. He led his team downfield, with no timeouts and not much time on the clock. Then on the final play, he did a good job of avoiding the rush and buying himself some time and then found Lewis who stayed on route crossing the field and then of course, hit him right where he needed to. Lastly, I can't say if Favre was aware of the time, but he did leave just enough time for one more play, if that one didn't work. I guess my point is there's a lot of credit to go around on that drive. Heck, I'll even give some props to my boy Percy Harvin. He had a couple of crucial catches at crunch time to continue the drive, and of course he had that kickoff return earlier.

Meh. 6-8 weeks from now and that throw is three feet behind the receiver and picked off. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

6-8 weeks from now, I don't think they are trailing at that point in the game. They would probably be in victory formation already.

Favre bought time for receivers to get to the end zone and then free lance. That was not a designed route. 90 percent of quarterbacks would have thrown up a jump ball 2 seconds sooner not try to hit a guy in stride at the back of the end zone. At the same time the Redskins were in the same position and did not even have enough confidence in Campbell to throw into the end zone. You will never see a Favre team try a hook and lateral on a last chance play.

6-8 weeks from now--Dre Bly or another CB holds onto the pick six he was GIVEN on the previous possession and dropped and Favre "bumpkins" into the presser talking "retirement" to leave another organization twisting in wind.
