a team (Clyde's) consisting of Roy Hibbert, Jeff Green, Jonathan Wallace, Henry Sims, Jason Clark, and Tony Bethel just lost in the semis to Beyond Belief.

^^^ Is that even possible? Talking about beyond belief (oh, I couldn't resist).
This is a surprise because folks in Indiana were expecting to see Roy and Jeff play in an Indiana summer league game last night. Word was from one guy that Jeff did show up but Roy was a no-show. That wouldn't make sense; maybe people didn't spot Roy in a crowd. Although that would be pretty hard. ;D
Ron of HR mentioned in a twitter comment that indeed Jeff and John Wallace were in Indiana this week working out with Roy.

^^^ Is that even possible? Talking about beyond belief (oh, I couldn't resist). Yeah if you saw the game, not really beyond belief. BB ain't no slouch when it comes to KL teams, I'd be shocked if they didn't win tomorrow by double digits too. They totally pwned the tempo of the game. Recap's up btw.

Roy is going to Indiana tomorrow. The first game today showed what it means to be a team. Clydes was all basically GTown players, but they have little recent playtime together. Anyway, Roy looks a lot quicker and seasoned since he went to the Pacers. Gilbert didn't look very quick today in the second game.

Gilbert? Yes, it is a pro/am league. Actually it depends on the year. There have been times in which the amateur portion was kept separate from the pros (although I think that last occurred in 2005). Anyway my surprise was not that a pro suited up, my surprise was that Gilbert played in the KL. I don't recall him doing that since 2004. In more recent summers he has been making appearances almost exclusively at Barry Farms.

I think someone put the Lebron thing in LIC's ear to see what happened. No James but we had Gilbert today. James was due last night. Wonder who will be here for the champioship, I heard Chris Wilcox was in town today

Can somebody clear up
a. who was on the team that beat Green, Wallace, Hibbert, etc.
b. Did Gilbert Arenas really play and what were his numbers and did he win
c. can we put a ban on the phrase "is that even possible"
Thanks

robbyt, The VA Tech players with Swan from FSU beat Hibbert and CO. Gilbert did play with a minimal scoring effort. His team won the Kenner league championship without his presence.
And to add to the rumor about James, a lady told me that a GTown players mother thought that James was going to play Saturday, since he was in town on Friday, however he flew to Vegas on Saturday morning.

A few minutes into the game, as HoyaSinceBirth and I were discussing the standard Kenner League practice of bringing in ringers for playoff games, I jokingly commented that, in an ideal world, Byron Mouton would come in as a ringer. Not three minutes later, Byron Mouton walked into the gym wearing Aquamarine Hunger Force teal. Verily, the basketball gods were smiling on McDonough. Let's hope that continues into the season.
Despite playing all of about 3:30, Mouton was involved in several hysterical situations down the stretch, including the world's stupidest turnover (he dropped the ball while attempting to inbound it and it somehow landed in-bounds and was scrooped up by a Beyond Belief player), having his first point of the game on a one-and-one erased by a lane violation by the Sweetney-sized Calvin Brown, and scoring the last points of the game with 12 seconds left after pawing the ball out of a lone BB player's hands in the backcourt. Can we get this guy his own T.V. show or something?

The best part of the out of bonds turn over is he dropped the ball out of bounds it hit of the basket and rolled in bounds. I'm not even sure if that's legal. It was hilarious.

So when is the open practice? I think it might be October 25th at 5 PM It is doubtful that they even have dates up in the air for consideration right now. They have to coordinate practice schedules across several sports and, once that is done, ideally find a time where the stars are aligned for good attendance from the HHC membership.
