both marbury and telfair are still in the NBA, with Marbury, despite what anyone thinks of him, being one of four, four, players to average 20 points and 8 assists over the course of his career.
There's nothing disasterous about either of those two.

I should clarify. Yes they have made it in the NBA and the Marbury shoe thing is pretty cool but, he has created trouble everywhere he has gone. Minnesota went south due to his selfishness, Phoenix was great once they got rid of him, New York I don't even need to explain.
Telfair has been someone who was touted as the next coming and he has not, nor will he, live up to expectations. They are successes in that they have gotten plenty of cash but their on the court successes are non-existent.

Lance's aau team which is run by his dad (Juice All stars), has signed a deal with Under Armor(turtle backer). This means Lance is going to maryland, unless that sex assault thing gets in his way.

Under Armour was my first thought when Lance started looking at UMD in the first place.

This is a garbage story. The Post should be ashamed of themselves. What the heck does the job, size and shape of his father have to do with anything?

I love how in the Post comments section there are a couple who think the solution is to simply let those guys go straight to the NBA. Please. I don't know if the kid is good enough and I'm pretty sure the NBA doesn't need more cancers like this dude who doesn't seem to care about instructions or maturing. He simply wants to be paid more than he's worth.

This is a garbage story. The Post should be ashamed of themselves. What the heck does the job, size and shape of his father have to do with anything? That article is fine. It is well done and detailed. There was nothing negative about Lance's dad being exactly what he is: A heating plant technician, tall and burly...

Are you kidding me? The tenure of the article is negatively slanted. It paints Lance and his handlers as people that are out for themselves or people that are out of touch. The description comes right after the author talks about Dad handling the recruitment of Lance. The positioning of the description suggests that Lance’s Dad is intimidating and that may be one reason coaches are staying away from him. The physical description of Lance’s Dad was placed there to convey yet another negative aspect of Lance’s recruitment. The only thing the author left out was the Dad’s race, but we can guess at that.

It's funny you don't like it--yet people who have dealt with Stephenson crew have all agreed with what was written--including Adam Zagoria--whose talked with Lance's "camp" more then anyone. If Gary gets Lance--you know he's gone "Caliparian" to silence the critics. Personally--I like Lance's game--think he's a great talent who needs to get away from NYC and his "camp". They have him thinking he's MJ/LeBron/Kobe, and he's not athletic enough to do that--but he's got a great skill set and will be a better player if he can escape the poor advice he's been getting.

Omega, when you've got a guy who has the talent to be on the U18 national team and colleges don't want him, I'm not sure it's possible to write a neutral-sounding article. I found the "tall and burly" description to be rather innocuous. He's also not trying to "suggest" anything; he uses a quote from Meyer that comes right out and says that Lance's dad is a headcase, and it's hurting his recruitment.

I found it interesting how one of these articles mentioned that we were recruiting him. While we all kind of hoped for that, I don't know how serious it ever got especially since Lance is having trouble academically, which is postponing his decision even more than Latavious'. Regardless the kid can ball, it's really too bad he may not get to see the court in a NCAA game. With regards to Sidney, he's a little overrated, and seems to kind of have a close circle of advisors. However, I don't think he honestly isn't eligible next season. I've really heard nothing of the sort in L.A., and Socal is generally good about figuring out both high school and some college eligibilities.

Found nothing wrong with the article in the Post. Truth is truth no matter how you slice the pie. The slant was negative, but that is LS. He has been somewhat of a bad teammate so with the praise, the criticism will follow. Plus, it appears he has foregone his amateur status and wants to jump to the NBA so bad, so this light criticism shouldnt be a big deal to him or his handlers.

I struggle with the notion that Lance is being portrayed in a negative light for no reason when, in an article a few weeks ago regarding his trip to Maryland, Lance's father openly talked about visiting Under Armour, a potential shoe deal with them, and how Lance didn't actually like the quality of the UA shoes. When you're that blatant about how little you care about your NCAA prospects, I really can't summon up any strength in my body to feel bad for you, let alone care.
The NCAA will be a better place w/out Lance Stephenson in it next year.
