Could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure this is the same jc who has been around forever - dates all the way back to the old board. Guess he doesn't post as much as he used to - but he's not a johnny come lately. Just goes to show drivel can come from anywhere... It is the same jc, and I think that is in part why I enjoy his posts so much (as infrequent as they are these days) - it takes me back to the old days of the Board. Now if only Omega and Van would start posting again ...

Good point Frasier. Your comment about young kids reminds me of a brief discussion I had with my son around 7 years ago. He was a Soph at GU and when he was home over Christmas break I was getting quite irritated about the team's performance (it was the Esh era after all). My son stopped me dead in my tracks when he said - "Dad, they're kids! That could be me out there at 19 years old." I got a little perspective that day - even if it fades from time to time.

I don't think I am going against the grain here by saying this has been a season of ferment.

I think its time for Coach to really pour it on, let them have it all week in preparation big game. I also like the shotgun approach he took with the first half subs last game. I think it helped funnel the starter's emotions into a more focused result on the floor. That is until the shooters blacked out with 5 minutes left in the game...

I'd like to point that immediately after the core components of Ohio State and Florida's 07 Final Four teams jumped into the NBA both Matta and Donovan pulled in highly ranked recruiting classes (anchored by a top ten PF/C) but both teams failed to make the NCAA's due to a lack of team cohesion.
Sound Familiar? It happens, I'd love to see us go on a tear and win out but in case it doesn't happen its not like we've become the worst team ever.
