RBHoya - "His day will come ... organically"? For some reason I get a big kick out of that phrase.

I'll move this thread now because Henry-match ups or not- looks pretty good here. He and Nikita are the best non-Monroe passers on this team right now.

SIMS!!! Huge 1st half. After the big half in Providence he got no love from coach - hopefully this half will make him realize that #30 needs to be out there a bit more with Monroe and/or Summers.

Sims has already shown more offensive promise than Macklin did in two years...and don't call out last year's Pitt or St. John's games. Henry actually scored without putting his back to the basket, which Macklin never did. Keep developing Henry.

Tied with Greg at 6 points for leading scorer in the first half. Keep it up Henry.

I think you go big, then sub accordingly. Henry's positives outweigh his negs. Start him with GM and DS. Omar and Nikita should be used in situations only.

I see so much more offensive potential in Henry than Mack, though you might be selling Mack short. It's not a surprise Henry got more run versus a team that plays a traditional 4. He'll get more and more hopefully as the year goes on.

We looked better with Nikita and Sims than Summers and Wright tonight. Take that for what it's worth, but the first two guys played within the system and most importantly within their own abilities. The latter two accounted for FAR more mistakes b/c of their few instances of selfishness and overconfidence.

the plan was for sims to get more burn as the season went on. i just hope this trend continues. i want nikita and sims to both be integral parts of the rotation.

I think its starting to become clear that Sims is out of the rotation. Him playing major minutes this season, barring injury, isn't going to happen this season. Daytona... I think you are as happy as anyone to be wrong on this one! I know you wanted to see him out there

The latter two accounted for FAR more mistakes b/c of their few instances of selfishness and overconfidence. I don't get this at all. Chris was getting to the rim at will. He was actually looking to pass too much, IMO, instead of drawing contact and going for the bucket. Summers fumbled the ball a couple times, but those were both aggressive plays and within the offense. For the most part, both played within the offense -- it's not like you shouldn't drive -- but Wright was simply afraid of N'Diaye (and so was Greg) and Summers didn't execute. Sims brought great energy and Nikita played well. But while neither Summers nor Wright had great results, I'm not complaining about their play.

Alright. I'll say it. I don't give a at all how Sims looks in practice. He's a 6-10 big who's unselfish, has good floor vision and can get a putback. He hustles on both ends when he gets on the court on GAME DAY. And as we've learned over the years, some players are just much better under the bright lights than they are in practice. I want Sims getting a LOT more run. If G-Money is gone after this season, he's the future of the Hoya Big Man tradition. I'd like to see him devour all of Vaughn's minutes, and eat into Omar and Nikita's.

Count me in now too. I was skeptical until tonight but it's time for more Nikita and Sims and less Vaughn and Wattad until further notice.

i was literally jumping out of my chair when we FINALLY saw the lineup we've been looking for all year....i was just imagining Dajuan instead of Nikita with chris as PG austin SG Henry at the 4 and Greg at the 5....matchup problems all over the place....I honestly think this is going to be our most effective lineup....I love the passing that Sims and Monroe possess...they seem to play real well together....i know i'm no coach but PLEASE JTIII can we see this lineup more??

Vaughn should get Tom Lang minutes.
SIMS HAS TO PLAY FOR THIS TEAM TO IMPROVE.
Freeman has to learn that vegetables are good and midnight snacks are bad.
