Best. Random Thread. Ever.
Now if only Shimmy and/or the_way, or any of the other usual e-pugilists would get into it, it would be perfect.

How come they haven't done bubblevision at any BE games this year besides the UConn game? I know it's stupid, but I kind of miss it.

can someone get them to change the music to the "Season Highlights" clips they put on GuHoyas.com? It really sucks. They could at least vary it a little. Otherwise, I'm glad to see the athletic dept put out these clips. It's pretty cool...

Just from looking at this thread, I think the band has proven why we deserve to keep our place in the front! Wow, I didn't even realize how many band alums posted on this board...
speaking of the highlight clips on GUHoyas, I can't believe they left off Green's huge block from the Seton Hall game! booo...
go band! go hoyas!

Just wait till I return to DC next year and rejoin the alumni squad--the "sack attack" will make its triumphant defense return. And yes, some in the band find the best way to deal with 'Nova is to do battle. Others, however, pursue an alternative means.

I think band members singing their own praises constantly proves little more than the fact that they have a good time and enjoy being upfront. Others (non-bandmembers) seemed to want to explore other possibilities, but I think everyone who wants to comment on this for now has, so I'm all for checking out who the girl was who's shirt came off. as long as our cheerleaders stay clothed, I'm all for more wardrobe malfunctions.

Yeah you're right Cashew, we do have a good time and we do enjoy being up front. I don't see what's wrong w/ that..I would hope that the crazy students you can't wait to replace us w/ would have a good time too and also enjoy being up front if they decided to move the band..
go band! go hoyas!

Others (non-bandmembers) seemed to want to explore other possibilities, but I think everyone who wants to comment on this for now has It also proves that you're statement, "The band doesn't really contribute much right now, as I see it, to warrant the space up front." is completely inaccurate. Sure we have a fun time up there, but that is because we are huge fans. Hell, freshman year I joined the band for the sole reason that I would get a seat near the front at every game. We contribute to the game musically. We contribute to the game as fans just like the rest of the student section. I guess the bottom line is, get over yourself and get to the game early enough to stand in the front if you want to so badly. I have a job too but I still manage to leave 2 hours before the games start.

great post, but albino mullet man is a crucial part of gu hoops. I don't care what he does, he's one of the funniest looking people I've ever seen at MCI along with Charlie "retarded dophin" Villanueva and Shrek Cornette. Albino mullet man deserves fan of the game one day. or at least bubble vision. That's exactly what we called him for 4 years, "albino mullet man." he's a legend. don't mess with the magic.

As for the girl with the ripped-off shirt...I think it was posted that there was no ripping off of any shirts. Alot of girls were wearing the shirts with the collar cut-off (I believe the poster called it "Flashdance-esque" or something), and I think this was the case with whoever was mentioned. Sorry Cam. Go Birds.

About halfway through last season, MCI's BubbleVision went missing because whatever they used to do that broke. Apparently, it's expensive enough with not enough crowd support to warrant new equipment.
And Cashew... settle down dude. When you put as much time and effort into the team as the band does you can post all you want. Otherwise, come by rehearsal sometime. We'll hand you a trombone and you can be as rowdy as you want. And maybe you'll even learn something in the process.
