i deleted an earlier post i wrote about this because i don't like to whine, but after that i'll say it. the refs are letting all contact go under georgetown's basket, ESPECIALLY not wanting to call a 5th foul on harangody
4 pt swing with 4 minutes in that game and harangody out. not the reason we're losing, but damn frustrating

It's just plain old poor shooting.

7th in the BE...better believe it. come on let's not go nuts because of one game. ND has made some clutch shots. And we are still young but at the same time is this a 7th place team because we ran into the no1 team and another who is tough at home? It is just the beginning of jan and we will be right in the mix at the end and loads better by tourny time. If nothing else we can take away that our bench is growing and will just continue to be more productive as the season continues.

It's just plain old poor shooting. I don't know about "plain old." We seem to have created a special kind of poor shooting tonight. If we don't have Monroe, we're down 20.

I guess if you miss enough, you'll eventually get some boards. I hate that I'm still at work, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing any pretty basketball...

Agree, KHoya. You obviously can't win without making shots. Our guards have been horrible these last two.

I think Pitt threw us completely out of our game, and the effects of that game extend to this one.

The stats say that the rebounding is not a problem, as we are one or two up on ND. 'gody seems to be a real problem. I guess that makes us appreciate what Roy did so much more.

No more criticism of Harangody and Hansbrough ... I would take both on our team

dajuan got hosed early and often by the homer refs. what a load of crap. offense has no flow when greg AND dajuan aren't in.

Was just about to say this. Same with the defense on McAlarney, though, to a lesser extent. The preview on ESPN.com mentioned their career statistics against the Hoyas, and they were pretty poor. Not so much tonight.

We missed our chance to really exploit them inside. Instead of running the offense that far up, i dont understand why we didnt just let Monroe sit down low and go at them. When we did, we were successful. But we didnt do it enough. I guess Im from the school of thought that you do something that works until your opponent stops it. They never stopped it, but we didnt go to it enough. We used to do the same thing last year with Hibbert. Let the big boys eat when they have mismatches!!!
