GIVE HIM HELL "We beat Syracuse, not our women" By the way, the title of this thread could be misinterpreted to mean that the 80's one-hit wonder band of the same name, best known for "Whip It," will have a tour stop in DC on January 14. Possibly at Verizon Center before or after the game.

I'm going to come right out and say, that if Hoya Blue's cheer sheet doesn't receive complaints from the 'Cuse AD, they will have failed.

This all presumes that Devo can count high enough to figure out when he's reached his 40 hour requirement.

I'm sure SU has plenty of people to count for him.

Honestly, Verizon Center better let in all signs this day b/c this scum of the Earth deserves nothing less than a lambasting from the crowd. he is such a piece of crap, it is unbelievable and it just reflects terribly on SU. I want no reprieve for Cheddar Bob the entire 40 minutes.

He's a clown- SUcks is probably better off without him- but I agree that those in attendance should give it to him when he comes to the Phone Booth.

Bring your signs, and extra markers to write what you really want to say on the other side once you reach your seat.
And also, Jim's quotes from the linked article are pathetic. Last week he was saying he believed Devo's story and the version of the truth presented by the other players, and in this article says that he (Devo) clearly made a mistake?

Looks like the ESPN article linked in the OP has been modified to reflect a minimum suspension of 2 games instead of 6. Anyone with information about which is more accurate?

Seems to be that he can come back as soon as he "serves" his 40 hours of community service.
Gee, way to come down on him.

As long as he's available for the GU game, JimBo is fine with the suspension.

40 hours of community service is a nothing obligation for someone who would have a lot of free time on their hands like Devo, plus after Christmas in this economy is a "buyers market" so to say for volunteers. Now, I have no confidence that he has the self discipline to do this, but with Jimmy holding his hand and plenty of desperate charities, he'll get this done well before the 14th.
Nevertheless, I expect nothing but 40 minutes of hell from EVERYBODY (not just students). The mild heckling that Price got should be like nothing compared to the that goes down in Chinatown.

How about a sign with a "female" version of otto the orange with a big black eye?
Any songs the band could play that would be appropriate? Jail House Rock? (being a former band member, however, I know the athletic department wouldn't let the band get away with anything remotely controversial).

BULL Edited! BULL Edited! BULL Edited!
So according to the article on Syracuse.com
He has to do 40 hrs before he will be considered for readmitance. Then once he is readmitted he has to do another 40 hours of community service, Sullivan said. The appeals panel decision also includes some additional requirements for Devendorf to meet once he is reinstated as a student, but the lawyer declined to reveal what they were.
It's not clear if that means he can't play basketball until he does 80 hours or if he can perform the second 40 hrs while playing.
What a crock of Edited. if he does 8 hrs a day he could be back as a student in 5 days? so basically he'll miss the memphis and coppin state and that's it. That's not a punishment.
What they should say is he's not allowed to start the community service until classes for the spring semester start again. That'd be at least a little bit of a punishment.
Worst thing of all the news story on this on TV on ESPNEWS all the highlights are devendorf scoring against us. It's all georgetown in the highlights. Edited ESPN and Edited Syracuse.
