The crew on ESPN Classic might not have "fawned" or "screamed" or whatever, but thats only because they weren't watching the game. NO play by play AT ALL. Just boring and tangential conversations between a bunch of have beens. What a complete disaster.

I saw the game at a bar and did not hear the commentary. So far this year, I think Doherty actually offered the most intelligent, game-focused analysis. I hope he does more games in the future.

Where is everybody? Analyzing the State of the Union?
I thought the bench was pretty short tonight. Maybe too short. Ashanti & BB had 37 minutes. Wallace had 36 minutes.
The box score says that Hall outrebounded us by three. I don't have the stats by half, but my impression was that we out-rebounded them in the first half and got out-rebounded in the second half. I think the short bench may have contributed to this (presumed) drop off. Ashanti did a good job on the boards with five.
I thought the off-the-ball movement was lacking for much of the game. As a result, we turned in another anemic offensive performance. Give Seton Hall credit for their effort after we went up by 15, but I think Orr's game management at the end was lacking.
Down by six with about 1:22 left, I don't think SHU needed to foul. We hadn't hit a shot in several minutes. They could easily have had the ball with about 1:00 left and a chance to cut the lead to three. Instead, after two quick fouls, we went up by 10.
Then, down 10 with about a minute left, the Hall clearly needed to foul, and they let us run 20 seconds off the clock before they fouled BB!!
Anyway, who am I to complain? We didn't panic, and we hit our foul shots down the stretch.
Good defensive effort by the Hoyas (though it was probably as much bad O by Seton Hall as good D by Gtown).
On to the RAC!

did anyone besides me notice the random 70s porn music that would come on inexplicably during the game?
a strange broadcast to say the least

Those announcers were brutal. It took them 3 minutes to realize that Georgetown was wearing white and SH was wearing blue. Bowman would have the ball and he would say, Andre Sweet with the ball. Seton Hall would be bringing it up and he would say, Cook with it.
Also, he kept saying drew the foul in place of commited the foul. Just awful.

Don't know if this is posted elsewhere, but the Highlights are now up on GUHoyas.com.
I love watching Green work in the post. He uses ball fakes and his body well to get around and through his defender. I think one problem with have both he and Hibbert in the lineup at the same time is Roy's man can afford to clog up the middle and play more help defense on Green. I still like starting Roy, however.
Also, good job by Jack the Bulldog's handlers for making up those boxes that Jack loves to chew on during the game. It's a clever way to incorporate Jack into the game, as it's kinda funny to see that dog attack a box with the opponent's logos all over it. They started doing it a couple games ago, and i forgot to mention it before now.
Go Hoyas, Take it to the Rac
