Did you folks see her interview with Katie Couric?
Being Governor of Alaska has given me foreign policy experience because "when Putin rears his head and comes to this country? Where does he come first? Alaska airspace".
I know there are those on this board who will defend her at any cost whatsoever, but in deep in your heart or head or someplace, you must know this is a totally unacceptable candidate for the Vice Presidency of the USA.

Wow that is really stupid because from Moscow the shortest distance on a globe would be over the north poll and Canada. I guess those people in upper canada have a lot of Foreign policy experience as well.

Does that mean I have military experience because aircraft from the local Marine base used to fly over my house and I waved at them?

At least she knows when the television was invented......well, I think she does. EDIT: I will ignore the fact that you have blatantly disregarded Hoyatalk Rule #67B, also known as Boz's 'Problem Thread' Moratorium, just because it's close to 5 on Friday, and I'm in a good mood that I don't have to be in this office for 72 hours or so.

Silly Boz. Everyone knows that Al Gore invented the TV to fight manbearpig after the Panic of 1893 released enough CO2 to warm the globe sufficiently to release him from his ice prison in the Arctic. Joe Biden was merely invoking the magic of that moment in reaction to the Panic of 2008's awakening of the spirit of Lo Pan and his quest to take over Chinatown.

LOL, I had never actually seen Palin with Couric until right now, this clip is terrific:
Epic. Reminds me a little bit of this: Obviously not THAT bad but equally entertaining to me

Reminds me a little bit of this: Obviously not THAT bad but equally entertaining to me That is an apt comparison. Sometimes I wonder whether Palin went to Philly Lutheran. That Couric interview is almost sad to watch given that Palin is apparently the best the Republican Party can do with its VP nomination this year. As a result, we can't have much of a debate on Thursday because there's a candidate who cannot vocalize a coherent thought of her own on critical issues (or even give voice credibly to McCain's position) and another who will be criticized for beating up on her when she stumbles. Three or four days of "debate camp" at the McCain Estate in Sedona will not change this dynamic.

Wow, Jack Cafferty is an angry dude. Re: Biden -- it has been discussed here previously, but his job in this debate is not that hard: Attack McCain and his policies, and leave Palin be so that she can implode on her own. We'll see if Biden has it in him. I have my doubts, since he has a penchant for saying some pretty stupid things himself. PS given that Palin is apparently the best the Republican Party can do with its VP nomination this year

Yes, and the military deals with that quite well, without any intervention at all from the Governor of Alaska. I don't see anything about Sarah Palin in that article. Alaska does not have a foreign policy. They might have some low level talks with some low level Russians over fishing rights and such, but they only get the tiny details that are too small and insignificant for the federal government to care about.

Guess I should have quoted Drums...that was in response to his post about the Russians entering the U.S. via Canada.

Alaska does not have a foreign policy. The Constitution would seem to agree with you: Article 1 Section 10 Article 2 Section 2

Former McCain campaign manager Mike Murphy has written a hilarious article about debate prep: www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1844162,00.html This is funny no matter which side of the aisle you are on.
