What is factual about saying "The Yankees cheated to win their World Series"? Based on......and nobody on other team used performance enhancement? Bill Simmons is is a edited, happens to invent a theory--and loves Boston. The dumbest thing I've read here was from you--so Beantown connection equates to complete ignorance and stupidity of posts. That is connected.
The Mitchell Report was a clown show to make MLB look like they care. These editeds don't care about the players cheating--they care about making money and filling stadiums. Mission accomplished. They know who has/is/will cheat and only take action AFTER it's discovered by media. I am not defending the Yankees--I'm just saying you are a total D-Bag if you use the logic that was used above--and now you are backtracking by standing by the Mitchell Report. Believe me--some of your most loved guys on that '04 team were as dirty as Bonds/Clemens and someday it'll come out.

As for the stupidity of the post--Bill Simmons perscribes to the "Ewing Theory" Perscribes? C'mon RDF, you're better than that. As for the argument, as a BoSox fan, I have to say Beantown is being a bit ridiculous. You simply cannot use the Mitchell report to say the Yankees are cheaters and the Red Sox are not. That said, the Yankees are clearly evil and the Red Sox are not. All you need to know is this: Dick Cheney is a Yankees fan.

I think Lewis Black needs to tackle this subject.
Yankees or Red Sox: Which is the Root Of All Evil?
On the Yankees side: Not just Cheney, but Hillary Clinton (allegedly) is a fan.
On the Sox side: Ben Affleck.
Tough call.

Tough call? Ehhh, not really. The Yankees have for years been, and continue to be, the personification of evil in sports. The Bosox are a long way from reaching that level, Bill Simmons and his ilk notwithstanding. OTOH, we don't really need this Red Sox can do no wrong nonsense either.

The Yankees are still way ahead of the Red Sox in their evilness, but the Red Sox have definitely passed every other team these past few years.

Point taken, but actually, I was just trying to make a joke about who is more evil, Dick Cheney, Hillary Clinton or Ben Affleck. Clearly, I failed miserably. ;D

How many consecutive years has the HoyaTalk MLB thread devolved into a Editeding match between inferiority-complex-ridden/sudden-air-of-superiority Red Sox fans and cocky/holding-on-to-that-last-shred-of-arrogance Yankee fans?
We've got to be going on, what... four? Five years?
EDIT: Oh, and the poster who made the argument the Yankees are somehow tainted because players X, Y and Z from the Yanks were in the Mitchell Report and only players A and B from the Sox were in it is making what I can only describe as the DUMBEST argument in the HISTORY of HoyaTalk. Makes baselinejournal and hoyaeighties/foeva look like Super Geniuses.

I'm happy to say, for once, that I did not contribute word one to this Editeding match. - the artist formerly known as borat How many consecutive years has the HoyaTalk MLB thread devolved into a Editeding match between inferiority-complex-ridden/sudden-air-of-superiority Red Sox fans and cocky/holding-on-to-that-last-shred-of-arrogance Yankee fans? Aw, come on. The Hill-Rod is straight seductive, man!
What, like none of you are attracted to power?
(The is the Private Wykowski "Queen of England" theory of sexual attraction).
I will say I think Chelsea, despite all odds, grew up to be a pretty fair looker. She's no Meghan McCain, but a far cry from expectations in her youth. Then again, I'm a sucker for the gingers. Sure, you can try to go blond, Chelsea, but we all know who you really are.
But back to the Yankees-Sox........ ;D
(Actually, I'm pretty sure that I heard Tony Kornheiser yesterday say that A-Rod had won over Yankee fans. Did I miss a press conference or something? When did this happen?)

So frustrating, this is the second time he's flirted with it. My cousins go to Joe Mauer's high school, I think I'll push them off a boat at my family reunion in June

Have they told you about the stud OL who has a chance to be one of the best-if not the best prospects from that school? Seantrel Henderson--only a Soph this year--and already has every school in America after him--he's 6'8 300 and carries it well--not a lot of fat on him--great feet for a Tackle and plays basketball as well. Sorry--back to baseball for you guys--just had to get a CDH rep in there/question for VCJack.

Besides my family aren't the best scouts. Just for fun I asked my brother to give me a rundown on Iman Shumpert back when he was still considering Marquette when OP/RF played at his highschool. He reported back "he's good I guess"
