It's difficult to say which Trump policy may be the worst, but his approach to climate change has to be right at the top.

The weather comes, the weather goes. The weather does what the weather does. Nothing to see here. Let's just burn more coal.

Trump just issued an executive order to slash 1/3 of all advisory committees that provide scientific advice. George Will: Young people now consider GOP "the dumb party" hill.cm/qWsk0AF

To Donald Trump, science = fake news, and the Republican Party is happy to tag along.

GOP cowards not willing to do their jobs. Makes you GOPers proud to be Republicans, right??? Inside the statehouse, the Senate chambers were conspicuously quiet. As the clerk called roll, a third of the room’s seats were empty. The Republicans, facing down a Democratic supermajority bent on passing bills to combat climate change, resorted to some last-ditch political arithmetic: no senators, no votes. Without their 11 GOP colleagues, Senate Democrats can’t achieve a quorum, and their legislative agenda grinds to a halt. So the Republicans fled. They left the state, reportedly bolting over the Idaho line. And of course, taking their cue from fake tough guy Trump and champion of his own victimhood, GOPers threaten violence against law enforcement. Can the GOP sink any lower? It should be consigned to the dustbin of history. “Send bachelors and come heavily armed,” Boquist said he told the superintendent of the state police. “I’m not going to be a political prisoner in the state of Oregon. It’s just that simple.” www.washingtonpost.com/politics/gop-lawmakers-skipped-town-to-avoid-a-climate-change-vote-then-the-governor-called-the-police/2019/06/21/52e21b42-93bc-11e9-b570-6416efdc0803_story.html?utm_term=.01a919c33ae6

There are a number of these stunts throughout political history. In Texas, it was a group of Democrats in the 1970's called the "Killer Bees" that stalled legislation by going into hiding, whereupon the Democratic Lt.Gov. called out the Texas Rangers for their arrest.

Agreed, it is a stunt on both sides and a failure to actually stay and do their jobs, regardless of parties. But today's iteration of the GOP is especially egregious in its inability to adhere to any norms of governance. The fish rots from the head down. Look at who your fish is. . .

The Democrats did it again in Texas in 2003. What was unique about the Killer Bees was that it was done against a legislature that was overwhelmingly of their own party. Per Wikipedia, D's held a 127-23 advantage in the state house and 27-4 in the state senate.
