I'm sorry but I had to start the thread. People, don't make this get out of control and force the admins to lock it. If they want to move it thats fine.
Hoyafoeva,
Let me start this out by saying that neither many posters on Hoyatalk (I can't account for everyone) nor I, doubt (or dislike) your support for the Georgetown sports or the Men's Basketball team, your basketball knowledge, or your opinions (or at least some of the more insightful posts). The thing that I think generally annoys people is the fact that instead of consolidating everything in to ONE post, you post multiple times in a row. I'd say that for common "Talkboard etiquette", TWO posts in a row is at most that anyone should do. Not only does it make the thread easier to read, but also it creates more concise, linked, and better formated ideas and arguments. Even if you want a more scattered response, you can still do it in one post: look at Lic's posts, they are often times insightful (if you want to put in the effort to decipher), and funny, even though they have no punctuation or spacing. If you want to see examples of how you can reply to multiple posts in one post: look at RDF, he often responds to multiple posters (and does it in a thorough, knowledgeable way) in one post. If you could just try to do that, I think that would go a long way to making you a more likable and valued member of this community (beyond your obviously Awesome support for the team and CBB). Thank you for your time and I hope that you consider what I said.
Sincerely, HometownHoya
PS Anyone else, feel free to agree or disagree, but nothing outrageous...please

Sincerely, HometownHoya PS Anyone else, feel free to agree or disagree, but nothing outrageous...please Trying to be constructive: On top of (1) the ridiculous posting style, add (2) the inability to debate someone who disagrees with his point of view; (3) rather than debate someone, retreating to the cover of a "you're just a racist/child" retort or "you know nothing about basketball" quip; and (4) starting thread after thread after thread about how Roy is X, the guards are Y, and the entire team doesn't do Z to help Roy, the "only true all-American" or some other garbage. I'm sure there are others, but that's a start. The fact remains, hoyafoeva is hoyaeighties, and the same attitude that got him kicked off in the first place is still there... its only a matter of time before threats of physical violence towards board members and/or their families starts again. EDIT: For the record, I think most people (myself included) agree that the team often needs to do a better job of setting Roy up in the offense. Hoyaeighties/foeva isn't wrong... the delivery is just godawful.

LOL Y'all a bunch of haters! You can't handle the truth!
Seriously If you'd just stop your string of posts i don't think anyone would have a problem with you. I actually agree with you some of the time.
LOL keep on fighting the good fight! just do it in a more concise manner.

I made this same effort earlier in a different thread (albeit not a thread devoted specifically to eva). I wish you better success than I had.

I second that, Hometown. Well said.
'foeva, please help make the board a better place for everyone who reads and posts by consolidating your strings into a single post.

How about instead of begging this guy to conform to the accepted style while he holds legitimate discussion hostage, we just get rid of him? He brings nothing to the table, but for some reason we have to be nice to him? I would rather discuss Florida spring practice with Hifi than be subjected to this clown torpedoing thread after thread. Short of that, can we please just bring back the ignore button? Foeva is currently the worst culprit, but he is not alone in being ignore-worthy.

I, for one, think that foeva hates the team and is a bad fan. I think that he brings nothing to the board except for the ill will that has been simmering since his banishment last year. He pretends to like Roy, but think about it: foeva hates the rest of the board, and everyone on this board likes Roy (despite what he says), so foeva probably hates Roy, too. His Roy rhetoric is just too over the top to be sincere, which means that its only possible aim can't be to bolster his "favorite" player, but rather to cause a massive board meltdown. Following a massive board meltdown, all the real fans on this board will be unhappy about the team and their concentrated fandom won't help the team as much anymore, so the Hoyas will suffer.
This is foeva's plan. He is using his FAKE megafandom/real idiocy to cause a massive board meltdown, which will in turn create a chain reaction that brings about the fall of the Hoyas!!!
In sum, foeva, I'm on to you. We're on to you. You don't like Roy, and you aren't really a fan of the Hoyas. Go back to Syracuse, you orange eating grammatically-challenged miscreant! We don't like non-fans around here!!

On top of this numbskull being a lost cause, this thread is a lost cause -- I can PROMISE you that he couldn't find his elbow, let alone the blue&gray board.
also - Jack, I hope i am not in your "ignore-worthy" category...that would not be good for my self-esteem.

Given that foeva has gotten under the skin of some, he must be doing something right. Keep up the good work.

couldn't this have been done with a personal message? seems sort of mean and classless to me to call someone out for 'etiquette' like this. maybe find something better to do than post about other poster's posting style. garbage like this only fuels the fire for personal attacks and bannings and all that nonsense that doesn't belong on a basketball forum.

Your "posting style" is that of a child's. Have you ever considered using a capitalized letter? e.e. cummings called, he wants his "posting style" back.

Hometown, thank you, I didn't realized the situation about the multiple posts, I didn't think anything of it, most of the time I'm responding to the negative people calling me names and talking down to me for no reason, but I do thank you for your concern, but these negative folks will not go away, so I will handle with care, as you can see the I guess its something imbedded in them from birth.

I guess I was wrong about the personal attacks. I hope your electronic friends on the board like your little '<anyone> called he wants his <whatever> back' joke. It's very funny. You must be well liked by your peers. Proud of you...
