KC, I am with you on that one. Certainly LSU has some players but I don't think he is anything special, at least on gameday. He kept pulling horseshoes out of his a$$ all year, and it finally caught up to him. On one hand, they have lost 2 games, both in multiple overtimes, but on the other hand he got tremendously lucky more than once. That pass at the end of the Auburn game was just idiotic and could have been catastrophic for them. He had to go 5 for 5 on fourth down to beat us. Granted, they did it so you have to give them the credit, but still that is fortuitous to say the least.

Agree completely--and if losing "close" is case--then does LSU want to give that '03 BCS Crown to USC--whose only loss was in Triple OT? Does fact Pete Carroll hasn't lost a game by more then a TD since his first season at USC equate into Trojans being considered for NC? Miles is an idiot--and if he does get Michigan job--he'll be fired for his off the field comments and fact he's a clown--more then his idiotic/odd coaching decisions.

From everything I have heard and read, the Michigan job is his if he wants it. The only other name getting much mention that I hear consistently is Kirk Ferentz, and normally in the context of "if Miles says no."

The one LSU fan that I know isn't all broken up about Miles leaving.
He is more excited about the possibility of Spurrier arriving...

Paul Johnson to SMU? Tuberville to Arkansas? Tom Osborne is interim head coach for Nebraska. Miles to Michigan if he doesn't take LSU's counter - otherwise Kelly is the second choice. Neuheisel to Georgia Tech? Mike Price to Wazzu? Spurrier Jr. to Duke? www.fanblogs.com/ncaa/007360.php

Austin, I am calling that Tennessee upset as well. I love the 7 1/2 points. It could certainly go either way and Tennessee has been very mediocre on the road, but I just think they are peaking at the right time, and LSU has too many distractions. In addition to the Les Miles talk, their assistant Bo Pellini is likely to get offered the Nebraska job. Add to that the fact that Matt Flynn is banged up, and I just think the Vols pull off the upset in what has been a very, very strange and unpredictable season. This is an interesting site. He hypothesizes how the top 12 BCS teams would have fared with other teams' schedules. cfn.scout.com/2/706825.htmlI found it interesting that he had every team losing at South Florida except for LSU. So I guess in his mind, LSU is the "Best" team in the Country.

wow, bowden just signed a contract extension with FSU. I wonder exactly how many naked pictures he has of the AD that he used as colateral. My applogies to all Seminoles fans. This guy has been done for a couple of years now.

Its just gamesmenship, FSU is playing chicken with Penn State to see who blinks first and puts their respective geezer out to pasture first so that the other geezer can walk away with the record

This guy has been done for a couple of years now. The responses are certainly mixed. Some are happy and think that the acquisition of Jimbo Fisher is really what they needed to turn the team around in the long run. Others think it was a good thing, because he was going to come back regardless, so the fact that it is only a one year extension is better than the alternatives. And then there are some vocal fans wanting a change at the top now. Personally, I thought it was a great move and congratulated them on it. They didn't think much of my appreciation though.

Anybody else going to Army-Navy tomorrow in Baltimore?
I just got a lead on a single ticket and parking pass that I have my fingers crossed on the price for right now. (My wife actually tracked the single down so she won't be upset if I go without her even though she likes football.)

It was in Baltimore way back in the day at one point (pre or post WWII) and then again in 2000. Navy has been playing ND (next trip is next year) in Baltimore as well as one game with the Twerps. (They previously tried a one game stint playing AF in Fedex.)
This year may or may not be the last one in Baltimore for awhile. The next 2-3 are in Philly then it's up for bids (and they have supposedly sought some bids from places outside of the northeast/mid-atlantic.)
