Did you guys see Noah last night? He is a complete freak. He had on what looked like a seersucker suit with ribbon on the lapels, and a huge pink bowtie. And of course, his hair was in rare form.

seems like a fun-loving kid...beats the neck tatoos and bling bling some of the other players are sporting these days in my opinion..

I don't disagree, but something about him just makes me want to punch him in the mouth.

As a Bulls fan, I hate the pick because I HATE Joakim Noah.

You are just jealous. Admit it. With the 5th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Jeff Green, Georgetown University. With the 9th pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls select Joe-Kim Noah, University of Florida. Nothing to be jealous about here, in my eyes. Congrats on his not slipping as far as Brady Quinn in the NFL draft, though.

I don't disagree, but something about him just makes me want to punch him in the mouth. In all honesty, a flashy flambouyant character like him is easy to dislike. He's the kind of guy that you like on your team but would hate if he played for the opponent. But he really is a good kid though. He's a hard worker. He's a team player. In a sense he is "out there" in a way similar to Payne Stewart, rest his soul. I do think that Chicago came out smelling like a rose getting Noah at #9 though.

I'm not exactly sure why Boston thought they would be better with Ray Allen along side Paul Pierce in the first place though. I don't think it will take more than a year or two before Jeff is better than Ray Allen. Plus the young nucleus of Green, Durant and Byers is solid.

I'm sorry hifi, but Noah will go down as the biggest bust of this draft - at least if he stays with the Bulls. The last thing the Bulls need is an energetic but one-dimensional defender. Noah is a glorified Ronnie Turiaf. They needed someone who could score. Noah's form and scoring prowess resembles that of a tall WNBA player.
EDITED: to note that I do think Noah is probably a great citizen and a good guy for kids to look up to.

Let's not forget that point.

I don't know, now that Noah is out of college and not directly competing with the Hoyas, I am finding I get a kick out of him. Now, I am not saying that I am runnig out to get me a man-dress or anything like that, but the NBA could definitely use a few free spirits who are also solid citizens. I think Noah may fit that description, and I think he may also turn out to be a decent pro.

I'm highly inclined to agree, Filo.
I kinda like his goofiness and personality in contrast to all the tough guys in the league.

I have a feeling he will have a similar effect among most NBA fans. I think he will be somewhat polarizing to a degree. Some will think like dajuan and Jimmyhoya and dislike him for all of his flash and zanyness, but others will appreciate his flair and flambouyance. Either way, he should get a lot of exposure and coverage.
As for the player, I'm not sure he is a good fit for the Bulls, but I think he is a great fit for Chicago. Let's face it: short of New York or LA, Chicago is the best fit for a colorful act like Noah.

noah is one of those guys that you hate when he is on an opposing team but you'd love him if he were on your team. he may look and act like a goof but he busts his ass every minute he's on the floor.

There's an entire board devoted to discussions about the Gators of Florida! Cool!
