Every once in a while, I un-ignore hifigator. I love that the person who posted that lengthy piece of garbage on the Gator board doesn't even know how to spell Urban Meyer's name. Big fan, I imagine. No that would be the President of the University of Florida--you know them SEC "fellers" "ain't too brite".

Hifi -
Time and time again you post things that no one is going to care about at all. This is the College Football Thread, not the Florida Gators thread. Whenever us Hoya fans like to discuss things, it not like we think to ourselves "I wonder what a Florida Gator fan thinks??!?!" We don't care. Go back to your own board, maybe they will care (unlikely).

Actually Cam, I don't know him personally but he is an ultra lib and we don't see eye to eye on very much. I could have exercised some literary freedom and corrected the spelling but I preferred to just point out that someone else wrote it and then leave it authentic but inaccurate. It doesn't really change the substance other than clarifying the fact that he isn't overly smart. Of course, I have already pointed that out a number of times.

The Gators are afterall, playing for the National Title so stories about them or Ohio St. for that matter are relevant to this thread. Also RDF, HoyaFan and Austin have all pointed out at times that Florida isn't really all that good. I have debated at times and agreed at times. In any case, this was a unique explanation or at least one person's opinion as to why different people could be arrivign at such drastically different conclusions when watching the same games. The fact that his logic went over your head doesn't make it any less relevant. Hee hee heee

If I had the time, I think I would go through this thread and look at all your posts. I would guess that about 90% are facts about Florida that no one cares about at all. Yes, it is the college football thread, and, yes, Florida is in the national championship. However, I think everyone in this thread tries to talk about college football as a whole and a lot of different teams. You seem to always think your little Florida Gator updates are totally necessary to the discussion. They are not. Leave.

Hee hee heee I thought they wouldn't be good and they dispelled that--anytime you find a way to win--it's to be given respect/credit. I admittedly dont' think much of some of their personnel--like Leak and Wynn, but they are in position to play Ohio State, so how you take a preseason argument and keep harping on it at this point in season is beyond me. You even posted TWICE the day UF beat FSU and were being quite brash about being correct while all of us doubters were wrong--I complimented the team and yet still you beat this into the ground. You truly have some issues and only hope that you sometime figure out why you are despised. I think you have contributed some good posts in this thread and time to time but then you post so much Gator Drivel that means nothing I don't know what to say and why you are allowed to continue to do so--but that's not for me to decide and administration of site did add "ignore" button so guess it's going to have be used if this nonsense continues. Here's a Gator "poem" I have for you-- There once was a man named HiFi He was a troll who many wished would die Loved the Gators did this man He's an odd lizard lover this site should ban! ;D

In all honesty, my mom is very proud. But I expect it comes not from what you suggest, but from staying out of trouble, staying married for 17 years and counting and raising 3 straight A kids who have also stayed out of trouble. (knock on wood)

Enough of that... back to football .... What bowl games are you looking forward to watching the most? Obviously the Title game is first for me, but I am looking forward to LSU spanking the Irish and I think the Michigan-USC matchup could be a great game. I am hopefully looking forward to UCLA and Nevada winning their games for .... gasp .... could it be? ? ..... FSU and Miami to both finish at 5-6.

It would be difficult for FSU and Miami to finish 5-6, since they are both 6-6. Nice sentiment, though.

Rumors on talk radio and message boards have Tommy Bowden as Bama's flavor of the week right now.

Tiger, that wouldn't surprise me from his part. I wouldn't fault him a bit for taking the risk with the potential upside. It would probably be a bit different if you guys hadn't stumbled at the end.
Still, the prize-winner of the Bowdens would have to be the one who played his cards right. Terry, whether or not he is the best coach of the bunch is certainly up for debate, but without a doubt he has the best resume' at this point. Still, he is a former Auburn Coach and that would be like oil and water to most of the big money from Bama.
On a side note, I thouroughly enjoyed hearing Terry speak at a Gator Touchdown Club meeting a few years back. I found him informed, surprisingly candid and (at least) seemingly genuine. At least at that point he minced no words a bit. He was entirely disinterested in coaching again. But it's amazing what a 2 or 3 million dollar contract can inspire. If I were a higher up at Tuscaloosa, I would be giving the short and jovial Bowden a call.
What is your gut feeling? Do you think that your administration will step up to the bar and pony up a few more dollars if necessary?

I am fully aware of the fact that they are both 6-6 .... in fact a day doesn't go by that I don't find myself at the very least chuckling about it at least 3 times a day. I meant 6-7 .... On a marginally related note .... am I the only one who finds it somewhat contradictory that the NCAA required 6 wins against D-1 opponents when limited to an 11 game schedule, but decided to eliminate that rule while also adding a 12th game? Theoretically, someone could go 6-6 with only 5 D-1 victories, but play in a bowl, when they could have gone 6-5 with the very same wins and one less loss before and not be eligible.
