Go Hoyas! (quick political comment: McCain has been active on immigration, just not the type of action economic nationalists and xenophobes want!) Go Hoyas! (absolutely wrong! That is really one of the most irritating positions. He gives coachspeak as to the importance of the issue, and says that we need to sit down and hammer this thing out ... and then spends all of his time doing these other trivial things. Don't get me wrong, I am not "against" his immigration policy, at least not yet. He has to establish one first. He has said some interesting things at times, but then instead of making it a priority and actually creating a bill and then trying to elicit support in the Senate and truly getting something done, he gets preoccupied.) Have you nitwits ever heard of PRIVATE MESSAGE or the BLUE & GRAY BOARD, perchance?

Go Gators and Hoyas!!!
(I am not sure what you are asking there. I am a free market proponent. I think that labor unions often do more harm than good, but I acknowledge their need in certain situations. I don't know exactly how that come into play here though. In that regard I am a conservative libertarian. I have never claimed to be anything else ... other than a Gator first and then Hoya fan.)
Go Gators and Hoyas!

Final score 11 to 3 and not because of Dick Bennett's defense. This is about electoral votes, zero of which a Repub has the possibility of getting in DC.

first time poster, long time fan of the board. as it happens, I know the Senator fairly well, well enough to discuss with him today his mistaken selection in the potential GU-Wahington St. match-up. He's an avid sports fan, and a fan of the program under Coach Thompson. He's even attended a couple of games with me in the past. I told him if the Cougars were lucky enough to get to the third round, he would regret his pick.
And Gator, last year the Senate passed one bill providing comprehensive reform of our immigration laws and greatly increasing border security. the author of the bill -- John McCain. I guess you missed that.

At least it wasn't John McClane who picked against us.
For a college basketball fan, I guess the only thing worse than having him oppose your team would be if Chuck Norris picked against you. Or maybe Jack Bauer. Or Steve Austin.
(all of whom would make exellent presidents, I might add)

You have to put it in perspective though. Go find that Nova fan and let him "splain" it to you. If Wazzou had beaten Vandy, then they would have "certainly" beaten the Hoyas. So his point is even more accurate now than it was originally, since it cannot ever be disproven. See how that works? The Vandy win is therefore effectively depreciated in some manner which escapes me. Yet your win over the Dores also holds little if any weight. I think we should all just award the Cougars the title right now and avoid any future or further expense or risk of injury. I am sure if that V-Cat fan is still around he can clear things up. He does have a point though, but when he wears a hat you don't notice it right away. Seriously, had Kentucky and Nova been seeded more accurately, then they wouldn't have faced each other yet. And Nova wouldn't have had the stars in uniform alignment against them. And if my aunt had balls, she would be my uncle. But if you think about it long enough, then W St will beat G'Town in the east regional. If you don't see that, then you just aren't thinking about it long enough.

wonder if Barack Obama roots for Columbia or Illinois?
on a more cynical note: I personally think politicians are very opportunistic when it comes to sports and sports fans.
Take Hillary Clinton for example. She claimed to be a "life long" Cub fan and yet she wore a Yankee hat and became a Yankee fan on the 2000 Campaign Trail

Hillary Clinton doesn't count because she's a girl, and girls are bad sports fans...with brains 1/3 the size of men's brains...it's science.
