Is it too early to start filming the GU promo?

I for one would donate.

I know film costs, etc. are expensive, but we should at least use a better promo so that the message is effective, positive and alluring. Right now we are buying airtime with an ineffective promo, and that is a waste of money in my book.

Some Rival Reels are better than our current promo. Nobody pays those guys to do their work, yet it costs $100,000 to make an inferior product? Somebody is getting ripped off....

Just hold a campus-wide contest to see who can come up with the best promo, and give a cash prize to the winner.

Before spending $100,000 the school should have really thought about what they wanted to portray instead of simply remaking the old one.

It's basically the same commercial, but the students in it have more recent hairdos.

i would be beyond shocked if GU were paying to air promo's anywhere. Every school gets to air theirs during a game, have you seen it outside of one of our games?

i dont think it is so bad, and even if it is, who cares, the only people who notice it are GU people anyway.

yeah I really don't think the promo is that bad. while i guess the alma matter is kinda blah and doesn't make you really excited or make you want to come but besides that I'm fine with it. It's better than most colleges. It at least isn't stupid.

People actually liked the ND one?! that one is so horrible. It at least doesn't make us look stupid. I don't know of any good ones. I can't imagine what tv commercial would actually make me want to go to a school.

I like it.

I don't think of it as a commercial to sell the school as much as a platform to tell you what the school is about. I hate ND's and other schools' cheesiness. We aren't trying to sell Big Macs, we're trying to show why we're proud to attend the institution. I like it. I was pumped everytime they showed it on the jumbotron at MSG in March. We appeared by far the most dignified.

Let me link the Howard Med School's video again. See really smart kids not taking themselves that seriously. I think we could all learn from that.

Oh and I look forward to BET's version of Gray's Anatomy should that every come about. It looks infinitely more entertaining.

Be nice. All it means is that our promo attracts the kind of people who like our promo.

It's truly a godawful commercial for either recruiting new students or making the alumni want to contribute.

I don't expect anyone at Georgetown to come up with something as competent as Notre Dame, Michigan, or USC, but for freak's sake NOVA has a better ad than us. Do they really have more to work with than we do?
