I was just referring to Feinstein (age 52). Williams (at age 62 today) will most certainly have met his maker in 20 years. All that sweating has to be a sign of hypertension right? You're right. My bad. I need to stop paying so much attention at work. It's cutting into my HoyaTalk productivity and attention to detail!!!

When do the new games come out or have they already? I've totally missed this. I still have the PS2, so do they even make games for it any more? I love the NCAA B-ball and Football games. I've always played the EA versions, though. Is 2K really better than EA? Sorry for all the questions, but I guess I'm a bit behind here.

EA also has a couple of gameplay videos on YouTube featuring the Hoyas:

#3 in their top 10 (Memphis 1, UCLA 2) –

This thread is right up my alley.
1 - On EA vs. 2k -- EA hasn't made a better game than 2k in quite some time. Whether its NBA, NCAA hoops or NHL games, 2k has consistently come out on top. Better game play, controller layouts, the look of the games is better... if you're debating, save yourself the trouble and just buy the 2k game. In fact, if any of you have played Madden '07 or '08, you're basically playing the last iteration of 2k's NFL game (when they were partnered with ESPN... and not just to scroll some realtime scores like EA does). Granted the next generation graphics make the new Madden games look much better, but the animations and gameplay are so similar to ESPN NFL 2k5 it can't be just a coincidence. They knew the better product when they saw it...
2 - Rest assured, 2k8 has the Hoyas in their proper school colors. At least they were when I was playing the game last...
3 - I wouldn't jump the gun on saying the EA game has the Hoyas in white. Believe it or not, those might actually be gray jerseys, with some of the color lost in the screenshot, zoomed in rendering, etc. After all, look at some of those skin tones. That said, I wouldn't put it past EA to have committed this travesty. After all, LOOK AT SOME OF THOSE SKIN TONES!
Any 360 users out there care to fire up a little on-line competition, PM me...

PS2 games are still produced... and are better sellers than PS3 games. XBOX has all but taken over from Playstation the dominant position in the "serious" gaming market (Wii actually sells the most, but due primarily to people like my younger sister or casual gamers who just like to play fun little games with the Wii controllers). PS3 came in too far after 360 and at too high a price point to effectively compete. I think Sony also came to the realization people don't care it plays BluRay... that battle won't be waged for several years (if ever, due to the popularity and prominence of upconverting DVD players). PS3 has had its price slashed several times and still continues to struggle in sales... plus the sparse (by comparison) game catalog doesn't help. Also, most PS3 games are ports of 360 games (game was developed for 360, modified to fit PS3)... the opposite was true for PS2 versus the original XBox. On-line (wave of the present and future) is also FAR superior on XBox... owing in no small part to the rampant success of Halo 2. I'll stop there. If anyone wants to get into a more intensive PS3 vs. 360 talk, PM me or start a new thread on another board. Point being... You can certainly get all the new EA games on PS2 - Madden 08, NCAA Football 08 (both of which come out before those seasons starts), NCAA March Madness 08... just not sure about 2k games on PS2. Maybe someone else knows...

Two "Warm up the bus," signs? wow. to think that two students took the effort to make those signs during the game. How far we have come.

2k8 has been out. PS2, PS3, 360, PC.
EA's March Madness 08 just came out. PS2, PS3, 360, PC.
Not only would I recommend buying the 2k8, so would the overwhelming majority of game review sites (rather unfavorable March Madness review on IGN today).

And have been since the ESPN days for those games. I always tell people if you want the latest hip hop buy EA, but if you want a better game and some hot underground hip hop artists (for the most part, although NBA 2K8 has Mos Def and Ghostface on it), buy College Hoops 2K8. It ain't even close.

Does Mos Def still count as an underground hip hop artist?
Sorry for the diversion.

From the EA screen shots I've seen, it looks like we have both gray and white jerseys. Other notes: Verizon Center is a pretty good recreation and our floor is painted as it is on the real court. The skin tones and hair styles are totally off but they did put a sleeve on Roy's left arm.

Because of NCAA rules, its not Roy, but a reprsentation of a player at Georgetown with similar skills and size.
