Durant's already won ROY.
Horford and Conley will put up nice numbers, but this race is over.

hifigator, take your freaking Gator love and shove it down Billy Donovans piehole. No one around here gave a #$#% about Horford when he was at Florida and we sure as (sugar) don't give a crap about him now.

Jeff didn't look "Awful"-that is being harsh. My question is how many that said he looked awful actually watch NBA basketball? It's cool if you don't---I'm just saying everyone always talks of how the NBA sucks and I wouldn't watch an NBA game if you paid me, and then minute they watch one--they are overly critical or overly hyped about a player.
Jeff isn't at Georgetown--he's not going to get the offense run through him--so he can't show his basketball IQ immediately. The Sonics have too many people who play the same spot and they are trying to find out which guys will play/which won't. It's why it's an EXHIBITION game-and not a real game. That is not to say they will be a great team--but they were working on things as they should.
Green showed some excellent scoring ability when given the ball and understood mismatches-he destroyed Brian Cook on him--as he should. He took him off the dribble and backed him down and just torched him. Had Luke Walton on him--who is a good role player and he took him off dribble and hit a turnaround. He needs to go up stronger in traffic-he shied away from Bynum once where he should've powered up and tried to dunk the ball. His jumper looked way too strong--a lot of back iron flings--but that was similar to other players--Sonics team Jeff was on court with for most part was a team of gunners--Wally, Watson, The French Dude with no game, Dreads, and no business in NBA. Jeff played good man to man, helped on zone defense--his job, and hustled back/got into passing lanes, etc...but it's going to take a while for this team to figure out--he is one of their better decision makers--Ridenour being the guy who should play--and Delonte West was injured--he's a good player as well.
Sonics should play Durant, Wilcox, Sene, Swift, West, Ridenour, Jeff, Thomas, in their primary rotation. Wilkins, Wally, Watson are the ball hogs of the team--no passing or intent to pass--just idiots with the ball.

He had 16 assists in 26 min for crying out loud. sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/college/men/boxscores/2000/03/18/maj_uaa/

Difference between being a playmaker and throwing ball to Ray Allen for jumpers and getting credited for an assist. Watson can't create offense for anyone--and specifically last night he was looking for his shot and not hitting guys at the right time with the ball. That is what I think a PG should do--see who has mismatch, when a guy is open and feed them ball.

I think Jeff and the Sonics reserves were outplayed by Walton and other Lakers reserves - those are some good basketball players so nothing to be embarrassed about for a rookie like Jeff. I'm not saying Jeff should have stayed in school, but if he returned to Gtown he would have been able to either (a) hit the weight room and work more on his low post offense and defense, OR more likely given his size (b) improve even more on his jump shot and ball-handling. Either way, he'd be more ready to compete at the NBA level than he is now. Whether he'll get an opportunity to improve his game this year as a reserve on the Sonics, I don't know. Maybe.

Have to remember it's exhibition basketball--the teams are experimenting. No doubt the Sonics reserves were outplayed--but who is to say Jeff will be stuck on court with those guys every outing? That is where you have to seperate how the performance was and how he's progressing as a player.

i saw most of the game, but turned it off after the third quarter. Jeff didn't look good, but as people have said he is a rookie and the team is young. . Considering that Jeff played about 8 minutes through 3 quarters and then most of the 4th quarter, I would say you didn't see most of the game, at least as far as Jeff is concerned. RDF - can't say much about many of the Sonics since I did not follow them much, but I agree on Ridnour (I was impressed) and Wally (what a freakin' chucker).
