Early prediction for 2007.
Crawford plays more minutes than Wright and Freeman causing certain posters on this board to begin melting and one member to spontaneously combust.

I see:
Starters:
Roy: 28 Minutes Pat: 22 Minutes Summers: 30 Minutes J. Sapp: 22 Minutes J. Wall: 30 Minutes
Reserves:
Macklin: 18 Minutes Freeman: 18 Minutes Wright: 18 Minutes Rivers: 7 Minutes Crawford: 7 Minutes
This rotation would allow for plenty of small lineups. For example:a Wallace, Wright, Freeman, Summers, Ewing lineup. Or: Sapp, Freeman, Summers, Ewing, Macklin.
I think the former is is our best small lineup, BTW. I don't see Wright and Sapp on the floor together often. Or Rivers and Wright, for that matter. My guess is that Crawford will play primarily when we're playing with a more traditional lineup, i.e., when Hibbert is on the floor, or with J. Wall, Summers, Ewing, and Freeman.

I don't get all the talk of Summers not being able to play the 4 he did so in highschool and is 6'9" he'll have no problem playing some minutes at the 4. I could see summers at the 4 and austin at the 3 being our primary line up later in the year. He's jsut as big as pat an inch shorter at worst.

My guess: G: Wallace 30, Sapp 25, Wright 17, Rivers 8 SF: Summers 20, Freeman 18, Rivers 2 PF: Ewing 25, Summers 10, Macklin 5 C: Hibbert 27, Macklin 10, Ewing 3 Or something like that. I think we'll be good enough that no one players over 30 mpg for the season (but will in individual games). I love Rivers, but his time will depend heavily on his shot and Wrights' defense -- whichever one progresses more wins the time. Ewing for 28 minutes might be a risk and Macklin will see a lot of the difference, I think. With the exception of the "throw-in" numbers like Ewing at center or Rivers at SF, this would ultimately be ideal. The only question is how Summers plays the 4 and how ready Freeman will be on defense. My only blasphemous call would be the real possibility of Rivers getting more time than Wright. Even if Chris is Iverson, Iverson shot terribly as a frosh and turned the ball over every 7 seconds as we lost 10 games. No offense, but that's not going to fly on a team valuing efficiency going for a national title. Note to all Chris Brasky Wright fans: this is NOT a knock on Chris, who is a freshman point guard and thus mistake prone. Please do not respond to this post by telling me how Chris Wright once dunked while in a full body cast or dribbled past a cheetah for a game-winning basket. He is good, and will be a great Hoya for years to come.

As SF said earlier, my problem with Dajuan at the 4 isn't his defense, it's his rebounding. I think it's a viable strategy at times and against certain teams, but I don't think it's necessarily a lineup that we will want to have starting every game.
Giga, I'm 100% with you on this. I love Chris, but I actually don't expect him to play much more than Rivers this year unless he really progresses with respect to turnovers and bad shots (which is very possible). Besides that, I think the numbers are pretty much spot on.

It's hard for me to imagine a 10 man rotation, as some have been suggesting. I see 9 at most, with perhaps Rivers getting squeezed in certain games.
I love Tyler but I don't think he has the talent to keep Wright and especially Freeman off the floor.

Didn't he say something like "Tyler will be a serious part of our team this season"?

Well I think III did say Tyler would be a serious part of the team last season, and I think the fact that he had the flu for so long and missed the start in the Fairfield game and didn't play at all there really opened the door for Summer to get some quality PT. I think he lost a lot of ground from getting sick and losing some serious muscle tone in addition. While I don't think that he will start I do think he will get more minutes than he did last time, especially early on in the season. Assuming he does well in the earlier games, I think he can maintain some significant minutes, at least that is how III seems to operate.
