Not sure if this was covered in the press conference, but Otto will finish his classes this semester while preparing for the draft.

Been nice having you around, Crash. Don't be a stranger. ;D LOL! Been wondering where Crash was! Oh I've been around, just doing more reading and less posting lately. I will still be rooting for the Hoyas next year and probably drop in quite a bit.

Love this qoute:
When asked to characterize how wide-ranging the probe might be, a source with knowledge of the case told CBSSports.com:
“Throw a dart at the [NCAA] Manual [and you would hit a violation by Syracuse]."

He's not wearing down. And his jumper is not off, its just that shots aren't going down right now. I liken it to a good hitter who went 0-8 in his last 2 games causing most people to think something is wrong. However, in reality he is seeing and hitting the ball well.... but right at people.

I don't agree with Oladipo and Olynyk being ahead of Otto Oddly, the first six are listed in alphabetical order and then it's all over the place after that. I noticed the trend as well. In fact, the 1st team is in alphabetical order and the 2nd team is reverse alphabetical order. On a different note, look for a Sports Illustrated article on Otto this week. There was a writer in town (Morley, Mo) last week interviewing family, friends, and coaches.

Marquette with the win. While I definitely would have rather held the BE title outright, if we had to share it I would prefer it to be with a school that will still be in the Big East next year. Now just hope for a Notre Dame win today.

They need to rock it old school: The link said the song was no longer available. Would this one suffice?

Terrance didn't have his brother's jump shot, but he certainly had his brother's complexion. HA! So true. Folks, only 1 Otto Porter Jr. Completely agree. I can't even imagine having to follow a brother who had so much success. Then again... anyone remember Ben Hansbrough? While he never matched Tyler's success in college, he didn't do too bad for himself either.

Yesterday, I received the signed Syracuse poster in the mail. Any ideas on what to do with it? Jack the Bulldog would love to play with it on March 9th. ^^^THIS^^^

It was a good weekend for the Porter Family. While everyone knows what Otto did on Saturday, all of us here in southeast Missouri also know that his little brother Jeffrey helped lead Scott County Central to their 9th straight district championship with a win over the #2 team in the state on Friday. Jeffrey is just a freshman and has a chance to end up being pretty good. Right now he is a little under 6'0" and while I doubt he ends up being 6'8" like his brother, I could see him end up in the 6'3"- 6'5" range. He's a very different player than Otto was at that age. Otto has always been smooth player with a soft touch….much more finesse than aggressiveness. Jeffrey, on the other hand, would just assume take you off the dribble and score over the top of someone. He’s not as good of a shooter as Otto was as a freshman, but he’s a better ball handler. And unlike his brother who played in the post as a freshman, Jeffrey is more perimeter oriented and has even been running the point lately. While its too early to say that Jeffrey will be a top recruit like his brother, it’s going to be interesting to follow his development over the next few years..

Moses and Otto are the only two who are playing well right now. I do love the team intensity on the boards, but we need some execution on the offensive end. A TON of missed 3's, but the majority of them have actually been good looks. While DSR seems like he can't throw it in the ocean, I would rather have him keep shooting. The only thing worse than not making shots is thinking about not making shots.

Is Kabongo going to be back for our game? Given how poor they've been, I assume he'll be their best player by year end. I've read they don't expect a ruling until Thursday. So barring an NCAA investigator's significant other blabbing about the case on a crowded airplane, I don't think he plays.

The thing is, the offense itself hasn't been bad, we've just missed layups and tons of shots within 5 feet. And you can just keep fouling Hopkins because he's shooting what 50% or less from the free throw line. Exactly.

As bad as the offensive end has been, I don't feel that bad. The offense itself has moved smoothly, guys are making good cuts and looking to score. The problem is just putting the d*** thing in the hole. Defense has looked phenomenal.

Just a side note, but this is actually the second time Otto and Jarnell Stokes have played against each other. The previous meeting was Otto's sophomore year in high school. While Otto was a beanpole at that time, Stokes was a beast even as a freshman.

Indiana is doing this all with zero contribution from arguably their 2nd best player Watford. I know Carolina isn't "Carolina" this year, but Indiana is playing like the best team in the country tonight. I'd love to see the Hoyas get another crack at them....preferably early April in Atlanta.
