It has been a long time since we have had as bad a front court as we had this season. Irrespective of whether Smith is eligible, whether Ayegba comes back, or whether Hayes stays, it must be better. Hopkins, in particular, can't contribute if he continues to pick up two quick cheap fouls each game before the first TV timeout. It is asking a lot of the incoming freshmen to step up from day one. This may become the most difficult coaching challenge for JT3 since arriving at Georgetown. Who's fault is it that it will be yet another difficult coaching challenge?

Time to part ways with several players and start from scratch. The obvious question is the center. What to do when you cannot count on Hopkins?! Should GU keep Moses although he's awful, but just to have a body? Are we putting all our eggs on the "Josh" basket? Are we praying that Hayes stays/gets better in off-season practice? We cannot think about keeping Moses unless we know that Josh won't make it back. Moses is a disaster at both ends of the floor(not the only one, of course). I like hopkins as a 2nd or 3rd big. Moses is not a high D1 talent.

Tough to see it end like this for Starks. What are the thoughts on bringing Bowen back for another year? I know he brings a lot of bad with the good, but his intensity and effort are tough to argue against. very tough. markel deserved a better career. Management failed him. with this roster? Keep bowen

Ugly, ugly, ugly season. on and off the court. Next year will be a minor success if no one is allowed to fail off the team.
thanks to the seniors. No need to be negative toward them at this point

well done, but hard to watch the life and death of something you once loved. if the conf added penn st way back would the conf have imploded like it did?
seeing the towers several times also gave me a hard to describe feeling. this documentary is an emotion roller coaster.

So the prevailing view on this board continues to be that JTIII has an essentially guaranteed HC job through the end of his dad's life, and any discussion that questions this arrangement is futile and should be scorned? That's a pretty unbelievable state of affairs. Amen.

Fickle? More like smart. Why pay for tickets, brave the cold weather, etc.. for that product? Build up a winner and they will come. +1

In several interviews jt3 stated he focused on the current opponent (video review, gameplan, etc) while the rest of the staff focused on the next opponents. Maybe the entire staff should focus on 1 opponent at a time.

Same sh*t, diff year. The program has become a soap opera. Go away for 3 years and come back to the same issues.
Can we sign Brittney Griner?

Really rough week for my hero. Has been in hospital since Monday night with fever and sore throat. Has no white counts so no way to defend himself. Just praying his counts rebound so he can fight back. God knows he's got the fighting spirit, he simply needs some amunition to fight back with. My new definition of heartbreak is seeing your five year old on a morphine pump for intractable pain in his throat. That said, you never truly appreciate the majesty of the mountain unless you've seen the depths of the valley. Harry will get through this and every other obstacle because he is courageous, blessed and loved. Please throw in some extra blood count prayers if you can. HARRY SAXA Stay strong and take things minute by minute instead of day by day. take joy in having your son, no matter the current state. keep the faith!!

i think BE teams just beat up against each other too much. when BE teams just purely dominate in OOC during the regular season, it does not explain sucha big flop in the tournament time. and i feel like JT3 needs to stop gettin a tough schedule for us in future. rather, get medicore teams where he can play and develop more players since our roster will be more deep next few years. with that said, i still think UCONN has a very strong chance of goin to FF4 by upsettin duke and even beatin ohio state if kemba gets on fire. every year there is at least one team that goes far from BE led by one single good player. I agree with the schedule suggestion. Add 2 or 3 ROAD cupcake games so everyone can get meaningful minutes. Keep the season tix holders in mind with the home games. Something tells me it will be a weaker home OOC schedule with the team playing in the maui invitational

Big East had 1 horrendous loss (gtown), 1 bad loss (ville) and 1 fluke loss (pitt). Zaga was better than st johns w/o dj kennedy. Uk is better than wva, and there is no longer shame in losing to george mason. They were ranked and received a at large bid

Why?

I would suggest we were very successful at the start simply because our guys were seniors and knew how to play. That also explains why we never really got better, it is not crazy to think seniors have basically reached their cieling by their senior year while other teams continue to gain experience and confidence and become that much better. Other teams simply closed the expereince gap against us as the season wore on. I would expect us to fall into the latter category next season. Also, let's face it we are flawed, which is why I hate to hear any anti-JT3 talk. The Hoyas simply did not have a dynamic scorer (once Free lost his jumper) or low post presence for most of the season. Those 2 ingredients mean less when you are playing early season OOC games against either less talented, smaller or younger teams, but once the talent starts getting some seasoning, they catch-up quickly. Who do we hold accountable for being "flawed?"

The team wearing grey with "Hoyas" across their chest look like a mid major. VCU has dominated from the start
