For those with ESPN Insider: insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?name=katz_andyHere are some choice snippets: (first sentence) "What's not to like about Georgetown right now?" "It's cool to be a Hoya again...The Big East doesn't need the New York-area schools to stay atop in the country. But the Big East did need a renaissance in the District. Georgetown is a national name. St. John's, Seton Hall and Rutgers are not. The Hoyas who are now shaping up to be a league title rival with Louisville for years to come. (Memo to Syracuse, Pitt, Connecticut, Marquette and Villanova: The chase to stay with Louisville and G'town is on.)"...Getting to the Final Four should put to rest a lot of the [negative] recruiting about the style of play," JT3 said of the knock some opponents would try to play on the elements of the Princeton style that clearly hasn't inhibited Thompson's success...So far in practice, the Hoyas are evolving with more of an emphasis on Hibbert's post production...The loss early in the season on the perimeter with Chris Wright's broken foot shouldn't be too much of an issue. The Hoyas are deepest on the perimeter with Jonathan Wallace (clearly the most underrated lead guard in the country), Jessie Sapp, Jeremiah Rivers and Tyler Crawford." There's a good deal more, but, so as to not Edited off the moderators, I won't cut and paste. Basically, I think his first sentence hits the nail on the head and echoes many of the sentiments expressed on this board. The Hoyas are back and not going anywhere for a long while!

ESPN has our guys ranked as such: Jason Clark: #30 Henry Sims: #44 Chris Brawell: #68 insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/espn150That's basically reversed from what it had been, with Braswell formerly highest ranked and Clark lowest if memory serves me...

Select excerpts on Roy: Wright's club has to answer two major questions in its attempt to pick up a medal. First, can Roy Hibbert be a dominant low-post presence, both offensively and defensively? Secondly, can a team selected for its skill level instead of athleticism shoot well enough from the perimeter to keep opposing defenses honest on Hibbert? Roy Hibbert, Georgetown His passing may actually overshadow his scoring because he will command double- and triple-teams from opponents. That will come easy to him because of his effectiveness in passing the ball in John Thompson's Georgetown offense. Ultimately, however, he'll need a couple of monster scoring games for this team to reach its potential. From Andy Katz: The one lock seems to be Georgetown center Roy Hibbert. The other big men will tussle for the remaining frontcourt spots: D.J. White of Indiana, Jon Brockman of Washington, Ahmad Nivins of Saint Joseph's, N.C. State's Brandon Costner and Memphis' Joey Dorsey. This should be quite an interesting weekend. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=katz_andy&id=2935141

Not sure how many of you out there are fantasy basketball players (I am not but some are)...but ESPN did a fantasy analysis of the lottery picks and heres what they had to say about Jeff:
5. Jeff Green, F, Seattle SuperSonics Green's scouting report reads virtually the same everywhere: NBA-ready and versatile, but lacks one standout skill and is unselfish almost to a fault. We've all seen Green at Georgetown and we know he's more than just a solid player; but his stats suffer due to the aforementioned unselfishness. I'll never knock a player for placing a priority on the team, but in the fantasy game, we look for stats, not wins. That said, Green should be one of the more productive rookies this season, as he'll be able to step in and play right away with the Sonics. I'm not entirely enthralled with his future fantasy prospects, however, as he's likely to be serviceable in all categories but dominant in none.
Nothing Earth shattering but worth a read.

From today's blog...
• Georgetown's Jeff Green remains the most intriguing early entrants in the draft. At least one player on the Hoyas is under the impression that Green is staying in the draft, but an NBA team said it has been told that he's going back to the Hoyas, sources told ESPN.com Wednesday. Green will work out for the Boston Celtics brass Friday on campus.
Not quite sure what to make of this...players saying he's gone, NBA teams saying he's coming back? All very confusing

So we have the 5th best recruiting class in the BE?! I guess two McD AA don't count for as much as they used to

The 10 other players at the news conference wore shorts and polo shirts, but Green was attired in a dress shirt and tie.
"You have to present yourself well," Green said. "You are interviewing for a job, so you have to look nice."
If nothing else I think this shows the stamp JT3 is putting on the program...just pure class

...to weigh in on Jeff and Roy
Jeff Green, 6-9, Jr., F, Georgetown Skinny: He was maybe the most versatile player in the NCAA Tournament. The Big East recognized his overall impact, his passing, and ability to change the game by making him the player of the year. Vibe: He's a mid- to late-lottery selection. Georgetown: If he stays then the Hoyas will lean more on someone like DaJuan Summers, who would have to improve as a passer and shooter. If he returns, with Roy Hibbert, then the Hoyas could be preseason No. 1
Roy Hibbert, 7-2, Jr., C, Georgetown Skinny: Hibbert became one of the top big men in the country this season. His post moves continue to improve. He's skyrocketing. Vibe: He's a lottery pick, probably toward the backside. Georgetown: Hibbert could easily still return the way many centers have done at Georgetown. If he does, the Hoyas will have the most dominating post player in the country next season. Without him, look for the Hoyas to be quicker but smaller.
