If his decision to go is based on the celtics drafting him, then he's def coming back. They are awful. One a side note: Why is Minny trading for Juwanji?

I haven't talked to Jeff in a little over a year, but I'm sure he has not changed. He could really careless about his name being in the spotlight, or him being the center of attention at this time. Yes, he might have his mind already made up, but he's keeping his decision to himself for a reason. If he is coming back, he hasn't said it yet because he's gaining valuable info and experience for this time next year. Working out with these teams is only helping Jeff. I've seen people say it on this board before....why not get feedback from the highest level of basketball?

Actually 70-30 is what I expect Jeff to hang statwise in San Antonio over two games... Pessimist. You rock, TBird!

My thoughts on this are as follows:
1) All of this stuff is just based on various information snippets that have already come out and nothing is new or particularly informative
2) I feel better about Jeffs chances of coming back with the description that Katz gives with the NBA team saying hes coming back because I feel as if maybe a player said he thinks he is going because he is trying to posture for himself or because no one wants to be responsible for saying he is not going to go on the record and possibly being detrimental towards his draft status where as it doesnt really make sense that an NBA team with inside information would say he is not going because Jeff would not want to have that perception with any team regardless of where they were in the draft if he is serious about going pro
3) I hope Jeff stays realizing that the worst he can do next year is the same as this year

So what's higher? The finals might not be good THIS year, but these GMs, coaches, ect, don't get paid that much money if they don't know what they're talking about. At any rate, you can't argue that San Antonio is not a solid team....and honestly, who really expected Cleveland to get there? Aside from all the LeBron James die hard supports and optomists...we all knew this was going to happen.

I'm pretty sure I actually agree with what this says, but...huh?

For the record, i was joking about Green just wanting his name in the spotlight, he doesnt seem that way to me. This whole situtation is pretty strange, if you really think about it. Actually Jeff Green himself was pretty strange this year. Most people play better against weaker competition, he played worse. Most kids take normal looking game-winning shots, he takes a backwards Mccail move, and gets accused of traveling. Most guys make it clear which way they are leaning a week before the draft, he says he completely on the fence. Oh well, we all love him anyway i guess.

My chances of going to San Antonio if Jeff stays: 70-30. my chances of going to san antonio in my minivan when the hoyas play in the final 4 next year: 100-0. there'll be a lot of dora, little einstein and thomas the tank engine playing all the way from connecticut. 3 rows of seating for plenty of hoya fans. who's with me?

We are supposed to be representing Georgetown, after all. If you choose to post something, you do so because you want other people to hear what you have to say, right? If you write in a disjointed, stream of consciousness like that post, you're not doing a good job of getting your point across. No one is trying to impress anyone here with his grammar abilities; it's just nice to be able to understand the posts on this board.

I wasn't being a tool. I like to actually understand what people on here are saying and sentences that take up six lines are a bit tricky sometimes. Calm down there, buddy. No need to get riled up.
As for the topic, I have also heard that players are telling friends they think Jeff is gone. But the only reason given was about the fact that he can be making a lot of money. It didn't sound to me like the conversation was with any of the seniors or that it really had any inside substance. Also, suffice it to say that if he develops as we all expect and hope, I don't think we'll be having this conversation about Dajuan in 3 years.

For some reason, i dont think are any of the current players are really aloud to really talk about Jeffs situation. I just get the feeling that Jeff and JTIII dont really want anyone to know what hes doing yet,, i dont know why i get that feeling lol. Thats why i was surprised by the Katz comments. Do you think all of the players have inside information? i would assume so, but right now i wouldnt be that surprised if THEY didnt even know what Greens doing right now. This is all starting to get very interesting. What NBA team was this source from? Was it one that was working out Jeff? And if all the Hoyas DO know what Jeffs doing, why are they telling people, when its obvious Jeff doesn't want people to know? And if Jeff IS going to the NBA why doesnt he just come out and say it? Everything seems very very strange, these next few days may turn out to be interesting, no matter what the turn out.

It's obvious Jeff has already decided to go pro. That's why he's having all these NBA teams come in so he will have enough information to make up his mind and ultimately to return to school for his senior year. Just remember 50/50 or 70/30 means nothing without a confidence level, adjusted by the Poisson Ratio and Newton's 3rd Law of Motion. The Method of Omphalaskepsis was used in his decision to turn pro. My source of information? Got an email from Sixer's source which started "can you tell me how to text message?" Jeff has scheduled a news conference for June 31 to explain his decision to return to school. In the meantime he is drafting an announcement for Monday and has enlisted the aid of Lic to ensure everyone clearly understands his decision. Don't put much stock into the fact he's scheduled a workout with the Toronto Maple Leafs for Tuesday.

lol I had to read that one twice. But I don't think the players are to say anything to anyone on the 'outside'. I asked DaJuan "what's Jeff gonna do" a few weeks ago....and he just laughed. PE Sr. did basically the same thing in an interview or something like that.
