From Rivals.
Just like that, Beas Hamga became a very popular player on the recruiting front. The 7-foot center from Decatur (Ill.) Christian is ahead of the pace academically and barring an unforeseen denial by the NCAA Clearinghouse, he will be a 2007 graduate.
He favors Kentucky, and is taking visits to UK, IU, UNLV, and New Mexico. JT3 needs to go "BIG GAME" hunting ASAP!

We have an open schollie right now. lic would flip, we'd be protected from the draft defections, and Hamga would be heading to Big Man U. Everyone wins.

I don't know, if he's too impacient to play another year of highschool he'll probably want garunteed PT and I don't think he'd consider us unless he knew for sure that Roy was leaving, and I don't think JTIII would force Roy's hand just to have this kid consider us

That doesn't mean he shouldn't go all out for Hamga. He might not come here, but we shouldn't miss out on him b/c we didn't recruit him hard enough.

Roy's back-up is a great job that JTIII could sell this kid on with Vern very possibly sliding over to 4 if Jeff leaves. And like I said, we still have the only NBA player from Cameroon ever. Not saying it's everything but hey, can't hurt.

Guys, some really "interesting" developments in his recruitment and I'll leave it at that. Hoyas won't be involved for reasons that will not be discussed. He's being pointed in directions to look and that school he attends is a "red flag" school--stay away at all costs.
We've got Braswell and Sims for future recruits, and Macklin and Summers on roster now--more recruits will be out there but it's not worth the hassle to mess with this type of stuff.
