Thanks for the update, SF.
My money has Jeff getting to 1,000 points to close out 2006 on 12/30 versus Michigan.

Next up on the Countdown to 1,000: Jeff Green has 811 points. Roy Hibbert has 545 points. Jon Wallace has 470 points. I expect Jeff to get there comfortably before the BE season starts. I expect Roy to get there just before the season ends (can happen if he averages around 15 points per contest). Any cance of Jon getting there as well before the season comes to a close? Probably not likely. If it takes him that long this team may be in for trouble. The Michigan game would be the 13th game of the year and for Jeff to take that long would mean he would be averaging under 15 points per contest.

I don't know if that means the team is in trouble. I'll have to dig it up, but I looked into Jeff's scoring last year, and he definitely seemed to turn it on and off a bit -- he scored 14+ pgg in games I determined to be "big" (losses, tourney games, games against ranked teams), and closer to 9 in games versus the James Madison's of the world. Part of that is probably that Roy is such a good option versus small lineups and part of it is probably just the distributor in Jeff.

While we're looking at milestones, Roy has 95 career blocked shots heading into the vandy game. Five tonight would be a good sign for posterity, and probably also for the outcome of the game.

Wallace has 99 career threes. The 100th will tie Joey Brown for 11th. the 102nd will tie Charles Smith for 10th.

After Oral Roberts
Jeff: 916 Roy: 656 Wallace: 575 Sapp: 272 And Egerson passes the century mark with 107
At his current season average of 11.7 ppg, Jeff will cross the 1000 mark @ Rutgers on January 17.
If he continues his 16 ppg pace of the last two weeks, he'll reach the Millennium mark at home vs. Nova on the 8th.

After Towson
Jeff: 933 Roy: 672 Wallace: 598
Sapp: 198 Egerson: 114 Crawford: 99 Summers: 89
I have no idea why we were padding Jessie's scoring.
In case you were wondering, Jeff scored 418 points his freshman year.
