Hopkins didnt play much as a freshman. like 5 to 6 minutes a game when Henry was in foul trouble. JT3 was sliding Lubick over to the 5 alot then because Whttington, Porter , Hollis were long and you could play zone. No excuses. With tonight's block, three quiet years of Jessie beats out 4 years of Hopkins.

Also he avged 6.8 mins a game as a freshman. Jessie had 17.7 a game. big difference.

Also I think Pickett has a really good shot at breaking the 3 point record in 3 years.

I learned over the weekend thanks to Gator that Irvin Church actually had the freshmen record for most threes with 51. It's strange because he shot horribly that year and following that season his scoring and playing time fell off the Earth.

Just realized I didn't update these at the end of the season. Here are career stats and places for Marcus and Jonathan, and an update on Jessie, as well as last year's 3-point barrage.
As he closed out his Hoyas career Marcus ended at: - 919 points, 59th all time. - 501 rebounds, 32nd all time, and 32nd Hoya to make it into the 500 rebound club. - 111 made threes, 18th all time. His 39.7% 3-point rate puts him 9th among Hoyas with at least 10 career attempts. - 122 assists, 68th all time.
Jonathan Mulmore: - 41% 3-point shooting was 5th all time among Hoyas with at least 10 career attempts. - 162 assists, 48th all time.
Jessie is at: - 1089 points, 39th all time. Next up, Bill Bolger with 1,099. - 597 rebounds, 23th all time, passing Nate Lubick. Next up, Al Dutch (602). - 99 blocks, 19th all time. Next up, Courtland Freeman and Brandon Bowman (100 each). - 44 3-pointers, 41st all time.
7 Hoyas from the 2017-18 team ended the year in the top 60 all time for made 3's, 5 of them can keep rising up the list in 2018-19: - Marcus Derrickson, 117, 18th. - Jamorko Pickett, 56, 35th - Jahvon Blair, 49, 39th - Jessie Govan, 44, 41st. - Kaleb Johnson, 26, 57th - Jonathan Mulmore, 25, 59th - Jagan Mosely, 23, 60th

Thanks for the update. Wish Mulmore would have shot a bit more last year.
What is the threshold for top 25 in assists and who is #1?

Thanks DFW. If James performs as well as he is in Kenner (always a question), he would easily be in the top 25. 8.4 apg in 30 games would put him there. Now I don't think it's likely that he gets there in his first year but he'll be on that list for sure after two seasons.

Of the returners, Jagan's in pretty good shape to crack the top 25 after 4 years. He has 165 assists through the first two years.
Jamarko and Jahvon are (like in many stats) neck and neck, with 53 and 52, respectively.
