Despite another very sad game overall, great scoring by LJ. Despite missing many 3s DSR did make it to 505 rebounds which makes him #30 on the all time rebound list and the only player in GU history to ever pass 1800 points, 200 assists and 500 rebounds. Very few player in college nationally have ever crossed that mark! A unique all around player who has given his all for GU every game!

Though the team did not have as much success during DSR's career as everyone would have liked, the kid had an outstanding career. Anyone who ends up in the TOP FIVE career scorers in Hoya History has done extremely well and deserves Kudos from us all. Well done DSR!

If GU is to bounce back next season, we need to find a first rate, BE level, real honest-to-goodness Point Guard. AND We need both Peak and Copeland to explode into All-BE level players. We know they have the ability. LJ showed much more consistency down the stretch. But we need both of them to raise their games, their consistency and their leadership.

Thanks for those updates, SirSaxa. Those are great all-around numbers for DSR, and the assist total is especially striking given that was never his primary role.

Peak had a very good second half to the season. Terrific improvement in nearly every facet of the game. His FG% went up. His 3P/outside shooting was improved. He converted those crazy drives to the hoop at a better clip. I haven't studied it, but I think his foul rate went down in the second half.
Peak's impressive second half and DSR's career milestones were basically the only two things that grabbed my interest down the stretch.
Can anyone determine how many NCAA players have scored at least 1,919 points and had as many rebounds and assits as DSR? It must be a very small % of NCAA players that achieve those career numbers.

Unfortunately it didn't.First 16 games: 1 foul every 7.5 min Last 17 games: 1 foul every 6.5 min(EDIT: Sorry! It actually did. I had my games in reverse order.) First 17 games: 1 foul every 6.5 min Last 16 games: 1 foul every 7.5 min Still pretty bad for a wing player. But it did improve a little. With his offense that much better, it would have been nice to see what he could have done in 30+ minutes/game.

Thanks for running those statistics. As I suspected, a very small % of players. Yea pretty impressive. Bit of a memory jog with some of those names - great 4 year players, most of whom never made the league and some of whom have probably long been forgotten. The data on the site for the play index/season finder only goes back to 94-95 unfortunately, but I'd imagine the pool of players grows since most guys stayed all 4 years back then.

After SC Upstate 11/12:
Players to take notice of for later: Copeland had 10 points and 600 for his career. Copeland had 3 rebounds and 309 for his career.
Peak had 14 points and 679 in his career. Peak had 3 rebounds and 186 in his career.
Govan had 0 block today and 33 blocks in his career. Hayes had 0 blocks today and 30 blocks in his career. (Dajuan Summers is 25th with 64 blocked shots)
[NOTE: I know that the PT/RB numbers don't mesh with last season's totals. I am going off of the season totals for 14 and 15 and today for the present numbers. I don't know why they're off; I was just as drunk as the rest of you last season.]

Can we include the career number of our transfers, including their old schools? It may not be the record books but it's impressive nonetheless. Pryor for instance could break 2k on his career this year (I think he's around 200 pts away).
