Assuming 15 games remaining, DSR achieves 1,900 career points with 14.8ppg and achieves 2,000 points with 21.5ppg.
Assuming 15 games remaining, DSR passes Wallace by averaging 1.5 3PFG made/game. This record is looking likely to be achieved if DSR stays healthy.

Well, I used 15 because that is the minimum number of games remaining on the schedule (assuming we end at least .500 and qualify for the NIT). We could potentially play more than 15 games, but would you put any money on it at this point?

While DSR only had 1 rebound, DSR is very close to also attaining 500 rebounds in his career in addition to climbing the points, 3 pointer, free throw and assist columns. It is exceedingly rare for a guard to have this many rebounds at GU. It is exceedingly rare for a college player to excel in so many facets of the game! I don't get why the younger players on the team don't pick up the unbelievable work ethic their senior leader displays in excelling in almost all skill categories represented on a stat sheet!

How many rebounds does DSR have in his career thus far? It would be good to keep track of it as well. Would he be up there also in terms of number of steals?

Unfortunately he is not close to 200 for steals which seems the cut off for greatness in that statistic. He has 454 rebounds. Probably needs about 4 rebounds per game to make 500. I believe there are only two other players in GU history who have more than 1000 points, more than 300 assists and more than 500 rebounds should he reach that level. They are Jeff Green and Reggie Williams. Jeff Green did it in 3 years and had more than 600 rebounds. Reggie had more than 800 rebounds and is also a member of the 2000+ club that DSR is trying to reach. I know there are doubters who feel looking at combinations of statistics is pointless and what will define whether DSR is great is whether he can take this team deep into the NCAA tournament. I enjoy watching players who help their teammates win and who aren't just trying to score points. Regardless of whether this team makes the NCAAs or does well in the tournament, DSR has been the most all around dominant guard of the JTIII era.

I just checked his career stats and the records. DSR has 158 steals which is tied with John Duren for 18th all-time! I'll add this to the count next game.

If DSR averages slightly over 6 assists per game, he'll break 400 (assuming 13 games left). He's at 4.5 for the year, 5.6 in conference.

Is it wrong that one of the main reasons I want the Hoyas to make a deep post-season run is so that DSR gets his due as the best guard since JT2 retired?

DSR is currently 9th All Time in GU career scoring. Where is he likely to end up? This season he is averaging 16.4/game. We have 9 BE games left, then the BET (at least 1 more game)and a post season tourney (at least 1 more game). That would be a minimum of 11 games remaining. At current scoring average, he'd get another 180 points, plus the 1747 he has, that would leave him with 1,927. Viewing the list below, DSR is likely to end his career as one of GU's top 5-6 scorers all time. Pretty impressive company. He is also likely to have the highest number of 3 pt shots made. So glad he chose to come back. One terrific Hoya. Maybe he and the team can finish the season strong and have some great team success to match his individual performance. Well done DSR! Hoya Saxa!! GU Leading Career scorers- Sleepy Floyd 2,304
- Patrick Ewing 2,183
- Reggie Williams 2,117
- Alonzo Mourning 2,001
- Othella Harrington 1,839
- David Wingate 1,781

Interesting to note as I look at the top scorers list again. Sleepy and Patrick played together one year - lost to UNC (and Michael Jordan) in the 1982 NCAA Final by one point, after the Freddie Brown to James Worthy pass. Patrick, David Wingate and Reggie Williams played together for 2 seasons -- 1984 National Championship and 1985 NCAA Final.
You would never get kids like that to stay 4 years in this day and age, but accumulating that level of talent concurrently is what it takes to be an NCAA Title contender.

Making a note that it's actually 154, and will go from there starting tomorrow. With any luck, he'll have 10 assists against Butler, and this will all be moot.
