Here is what I am looking for in offensive production from our squad this year:
Bowman 18 ppg Cook 14 ppg Green/Hibbert 14 ppg Owens 12 ppg Wallace 5 ppg Rest of Bench 10 ppg
I know teams aren't defined by ppg averages, but if Owens is going to be a 6-7 ppg guy I'd rather see a younger face take over that role next year.
But I guess we can talk about it after this season. If Owens lights up Illinois for 20 points I'll take back everything I've said.

If the rest of the team is playing well, Owens is a great fit, I think. We just get frustrated with his potential when the team is playing poorly.
If he's never going to take over a game, that's a disappointment. But it doesn't mean he doesn't add value.
As for 2006, I think III's focus, assuming 3 scholarships, is going to be on a PG, a frontcourt player and a wing.
