I am looking @ the play by play on ESPN & I figured it was a typo. good job, baby Doc. Too bad MASN won't be on Cox's channel line up until the end of March

What you can't get from the boxscore is that he hit those two threes back-to-back right after getting in the game. Nice boost for the Hoyas.
Edit - never mind, you probably did get that from the play-by-play.

Cincy coaches are probably scrambling as they look at their scouting report which tells them to just leave him open.

Great text message I received about Rivers: "Someone read the Post yesterday"
(referencing the Wright/Freeman piece about the guards coming to take Rivers's PT)

Cincinnati was begging him to take those threes. Rivers had plenty of time to think about both of those shots. Looking at statistics, I don't really blame them, but I think Rivers has a nice stroke that has been tempered by nerves. Good to see him overcome them tonight.

He got a standing ovation from the Hoya Blue gamewatch!
If he can make that a consistent part of his game, he'll be a very good player for us in the years to come.

I believe Rivers will have to continue to take that shot. I'm not even concerned with him hitting them often just as long as he makes the other team guard him. If they keep playing off him, then he can't penetrate which is really the strong part of his game. The 2 he hit today were really a great boost at important part of the game, giving us a nice moment swing going in at the half.

I've said it before....if he can make that shot consistently, he has a shot at a professional career

Nice shots by Jeremiah... I believe the first one tied the game for us; the second gave us the lead, which we never relinquished; and the next time down the court he fed JWall for his three to give us a cushion. BIG MINUTES for him at a big time. GREAT JOB!! JWALL yelled to him to shoot it with confidence after the first one... He also came in to help out with the press since JWALL was having major difficulties with it. Also, Vernon's bucket was big! It stopped a Cinn 7 - 0 run I believe. We'll need them both to seriously contend THIS YEAR. HOYA SAXA!!!

He was on pace for 28 points easy. Good to see him gain some confidence and make the Nati cover the 3 point line, opening things up inside a bit.

Baby Doc for three!!!
YESSS!!!!
Speaking of which, Jesse shot 20.5% from behind the arc last year (9-44). Baby Doc is currently shooting 23.1% (3-13). Considering how much better Jesse shoots this year than last year, don't be surprised if you're comfortable with Baby Doc taking threes next year.
