"Underrated" would be a disastrous cheer, since it is not especially clever and you will wind up with half the fans still cheering "overrated."
"We are better"? How about "We absolutely have no creativity," 'cause that's the message you would be conveying anyway.

How about "We absolutely have no creativity," 'cause that's the message you would be conveying anyway. No need to be creative when it is fact. Furthermore, how is "we are better" any less creative than "overrated" or "Na-na-na-goodbye"?

I agree with most posters that "overrated" is lame, and I am not fond of the na-na-na one either. But, I haven't come up with any clever alternatives...
On a somewhat related note, I am a dinosuar like Lic and yearn for Hawaii Five-O with a jiggly fat guy* doing the surf dance. Classic. But, of course, opinions will vary.
* Don't get me wrong here, I don't actually yearn for a jiggly fat guy (not that there is anything wrong with that...) -- just the comedic / entertainment value of a jiggly fat guy carrying on to that classic tune.

On behalf of jiggly fat guys, I thank you.

Dajuan and Cambridge are right on the money. The "overrated" chant is ridiculous for a team that, like ours, is this good, this late in the year. I think employing an "underrated" chant, while clever, would be lost because it would take alot of the crowd too long to get what we were saying anyway. "We are better" works in all situations because there is no real thought necessary and conveys exactly what we mean to say. We could also use the "You guys are not overrated because you are a pretty good team, but we just happen to be better and slightly underrated, as demonstrated by our current beatdown of your team" chant, but that may be asking a bit too much. "Overrated" chants are for upsets. A Georgetown team this good, playing at home doesn't "upset" anyone-we just win. As many people on this board, myself included, believe, there isn't anyone we can't beat right now if we play our best. Thus, the "overrated" chant is officially dead and buried for the rest of this year and depending on who comes back, the whole of next year. Let's Go Hoyas!!!! Skin the Bearcats! I concur wholeheatedly. In fact, I think the complete cheer should be two lines: CALL: WE ARE RESPONSE: GEORGETOWN CALL: WE ARE RESPONSE: BETTER/WINNERS/CHAMPIONS (whatever you prefer) Oh, and there is absolutely no doubt that thundersticks are reserved for automotons and other low-level bandwagon fans (see Southern CA-LA Metro-Anaheim-Orange County Angels fans, Dallas Mavericks, etc)...I'm still getting over the fact we have a jumbotron, let's not allow our arena to sink further into crapdom. I pretty much agree with these posts** and I like the idea of expanding/developing the call and response cheers. I've been thinking that, as we develop as a real hoops crowd, it would be cool to have some cheers that are more complex than what we currently employ. That said, I offer to pilot the underrated cheer from the YA and see how it flies. My "sit down coach" cheer caught on, so maybe this one has promise too. I think the coolest stuff we do is when the two sides of the arena chant "Hoya" "Saxa" or "We Are" "Georgetown" at each other. That could be combined with Cambridge's idea, or something more complex like the cheers USC and UCLA do. ** Angels fan for life, baby! Which do you hate more, the thunderstick or the rally monkey? As for the jumbotron, what would we do during timeouts without the Dance Cam battles between students, young alums, jiggly old guys, little kids writhing on the floor, and Amadou's brother?
