Oaulus is actually better than I originally thought, in that he had no turnovers, but man did he take some ill-advised shots in the second half. Unbelievable.
And did you hear Dukie V now talk about McRoberts as "not a scorer" -- he is just a great all-around player but he he is not going to put a lot of points on the board. That's about as close as Dukie is going to get to saying "OK, McRoberts is over-rated..."
Duke hung tough. That was some real bad free-throw shooting.
Me-thinks UNC is a bit over-rated right now...

Did anyone else see McBobs crying? How great was that!? Hahahahahaha. Reason #423,645,423,235,768,645 I'm glad to be a Hoya fan...our players don't do that nonsense. The other night the camera kept focusing on Beavis at the end of the UMD-UVA game, and he was sad/pouting like Gary Williams had just told him he was going to bed without dessert or something.

Yeh, i agree. I'd take my chances in the UNC bracket right now. I think they have all the trappings of a #1 seed that loses in the 2nd round. They are raw in a lot of ways. I have yet to see them really play 40 minutes of great basketball.

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but it looked to me like McBob was shouting into his towel in frustration over his 4th foul call, not like he was crying. It's a common technique to cover up language that might warrant a technical foul (or, for instance, editing here). Think Belushi in class in Animal House... about 3/4 down the page. Of course, Belushi did it with more panache.

It was nice to see WOJO console him with the knowledge that 10 years after he's done at Duke, he too can be a towel boy for Coach Hypocritzki.

There was a fascinating discussion on the Raycom broadcast of the Duke-UNC game where Billy Packer called K out for not taking credit for the losing season where he had the 'back problem'. I don't believe I've ever heard Billy go down that road in public.

We all know that coach hypocritzkiwould have won 25 with that squad. It was clearly the fault of Pete Gaudet that team lost. Plus Amex Man wanted to give Gaudet a head coaching credential for his inevitable ascension to ruining another program ( See Amaker, T.; see also, Snyder, Q.).

Obviously, you do not agree with JT3 on the ranking of teams we most want to lose. Yeah, but Syracuse wasn't playing last night. And they lose all the time. (then again, so does Duke lately) I enjoy how all of the "Games Of Interest" threads tend to morph into a collective bashing of teams that we hate. This is necessary venting and should be encouraged. You shouldn't pack your rage into a tiny little ball until it explodes all over an umpire at the ballpark. Let it out. ;D
