Nice choke job by Rutgers at the end of that ugly game Be nice to Rutgers--they were using their versions of Saed, Spann and Izzo at the end of that game b/c everyone else had fouled out. Ummmm no can do. A choke job is a choke job especially when you are playing a UConn team that sucks. Anyway, since when are YOU ever nice?

Anyway, I didn't think Rutgers "choked" per se, they just sucked worse than UConn did in OT.

What will it take for someone to say what many of us are already thinking?
No team from the SEC west should make the tourney.
There, I said it. That wasn't so hard. Dave Revsine just struck up his surprised voice (not his excited voice, only dogs can hear that) when saying that Alabama was having trouble with South Carolina. I guess SC could get a "big win" over a "ranked opponent" here.

NC State beats UNC. I fail to see what is so exciting about the ACC. The last twenty point of this game were mostly scored on free throws resulting from hand checks and other touch fouls twenty feet from the basket. Oooh, Free Throws!

Oregon lost. Doesn't help us. Texas also lost, despite another 30+ effort from Durant.

Texas, V. Tech twice, Indiana offset by Wisconsin win so they will move up, Clemson (why are they in the polls), Unlv is struggling, Alabama slips by SC as mentioned, I think we limp into the top 25 with all these losses.
A ville & Marquette back to back and we are in the top 16.

Counterargument: UK won on the road against a decent Arkansas team, S. Illinois and VCU rolled, SC beat Oregon. In other news, Syracuse almost choked another W away in the second half today.

Shockingly, a pretty horrible Colorado (5-13) team beat #14 Ok. State by 12. I don't know how that loss is going to look to the pollsters

That one was fluke city. CU-Boulder is wretched this year. I think in light of everything else that happened so far this weekend, OK St doesn't drop too far. They'll have to worry about the committee more than the pollsters.

Notre Dame down 7 to the SOUTH FLORIDA BULLS with 1:00 to go!!! i wish we could take advantage of the insult gold mine that is the ignominy of losing to USF, but alas, we cannot.
The Pit is going to be tearing itself apart tonight.
In other news, congrats to the Vandy Commodores - moving into the Top 50 RPI with their win at Georgia

Following standard form, ND will move up 3 places in the polls following their loss.

For the karma inclined, ND's board has to be the cause of all their problems. Before their game with us, it was 33-1 predictions. This time, it was predicting getting a Top 4 seed in NYC, because there isn't "a likely loss left on the schedule."
Wonder when they will figure out they aren't a good road team?

Seriously though, this loss makes Wednesday even bigger. WVU plays Pitt the day we play Louisville. Which means if we can win, we're either tied for first or have a bye in virtual lockdown. Sweet.

Huge OT win on the road over Mason for Old Dominion tonight. The Monarchs get VCU and Hofstra at home over the next two weeks -- two wins would put ODU in a decent position to win the CAA regular season crown.

A & M drops Kansas on their home court, with Acie (I thought they retired that name for good after Acie Earl) Law nailing two FTs to seal the win.

The best is that Acie Law is a Fourth, as in Acie Law IV.

Not that its, by any means, really, really funny...it just had that perfect dose of humor.
