RPI/SOS is up to 15/24 after a HUGE road win at Villanova. In-depth team and conference updates to follow; just give me a few minutes.

Overall record (prior to NCAA): 21-9 (10-6 BE) RPI: 37 SOS: 63 OOC Record: 9-2 OOC RPI: 71 OOC SOS: 214 Road/Neutral record: 10-7 Vs. RPI Top-50: 5-7 Vs. RPI Top-100: 10-8 Vs. RPI 100+: 11-1
2006-2007 (including Nova game today, as well as Vandy-UF and Pitt-UW) Overall record: 20-5 (10-2 BE) RPI: 15 SOS: 24 OOC Record: 10-3 OOC RPI: 52 OOC SOS: 95 Road/Neutral record: 8-2 Vs. RPI Top-50: 4-5 Vs. RPI Top-100: 9-5 Vs. RPI 100+: 11-0
Notes: Louisville, Marquette, WVU, now Nova. The big wins just keep coming in. This is the highest I have seen our RPI this late in the season since I started keeping track religiously in '01. When it comes time to see if the Hoyas will land a protected seed, our computer numbers certainly can't hurt.
2005-2006: BE RPI conference rank: 2nd Non-conference record: 148-43 Teams in the RPI Top 50: EIGHT - Nova (2), UConn (3), Pitt (11), Syracuse (17), Marquette (31), WVU (35), Georgetown (37), Cincinatti (40) Teams outside the RPI Top 100: THREE - Providence (108), St. John's (132), USF (236)
2006-2007: BE RPI conference rank: 5th Non-conference record: 158-53 Teams in the RPI Top 50: FIVE - Pitt (3), Georgetown (15), Villanova (19), Marquette (29), West Virginia (48) Teams outside the RPI Top 100: FIVE - St. John's (127), Seton Hall (133), USF (164), Cincinatti (165), Rutgers (189)
Notes: The BE caught the Missouri Valley for 5th about a week ago, and has maintained that position with help from Pitt today. It's like that that's as high as the BE can reach this year, as the Big Ten is far ahead of the BE right now in percentage points. But 5th is a lot better than 7th, and could help an addtional (7th?) team get into the dance from our conference. But the increasing number of mid-level BE teams (especially in the RPI 51-80 range) better get their act together soon if they want a shot at the NCAA.

right now we have no losses even outside of the RPI top 50 (because ODU just moved into top 50). we have no losses that are even close to being considered bad. i love it

16th on the NCAA RPI as of today. Anyone know if this is the official RPI that the selection committee will use?
