So pretty good from the rankings perspective... Va Tech won, but Indiana and Alabama both got spanked (the Tide are somehow still ranked in the top 15 despite no quality wins, but they've been blown out by unranked teams in three of their last five games, so they've got to fall off at some point).

Also, Northern Iowa lost to Southern Illinois, which helps the ranking prospects, and Nova beat Providence, which is good for us in both the RPI (we play Nova twice, and miss PC) and in the Big East standings...
... between the Nova win and the Notre Dame loss, we went from a 2-way tie for sixth place to sole possession of fifth. If we win tonight, we'll be at worst tied for third, and at best tied for second.

And here is Reason #1285 that rankings are illogical. We lost to two unranked teams early in the season and dropped like a rock. Bama loses to three unranked teams in January yet will probably hang around #25.

Not only loses, but loses by at least 15 points in each game.
