Clyde's won 102-87. They were up by double digits for much of the game.
Roy had about 25 points, double digit board, and 5 or 6 assists. He struggled from the line though, going about 4/9. Sapp had his best game so far IMO, hitting 2 threes and scoring on some nice drives
Jeff had a very good game. I lost track of his points, but wouldn't be surprised to hear he had 30+. No threes, but he was scoring on drives, hooks, fade-away banks, and all sorts of other shots. However, his handle was sloppy at times and he had 5-6 TOs, which was the killer for Tombs. Summers also had a sloppy handle, and Macklin struggled to hold on to passes and loose balls. All in all Tombs probably had 10 more TOs than Clyde's, if not more. Clyde's was also very hot from 3.
Wallace had a very good game, but none of the freshman played that well, and the coach often went small. I guess of the group Summers was the best. I gotta run, but figured I'd post this quick recap. I'm sure someone else will have better, and if not I'll post more detail later.
Oh yea, one more quick hit - I caught the last 10 minutes of the prior game, with Thornton and Crawford. Their team lost, and while I was there Josh missed three questionable treys and Crawford hit one.

I know FL will have a recap later, but I'll just give the stats for now.
Roy had 24 pts on 10-12 shooting and 4-9 from the line. He also had 11 rebs, 5 assists and a block.
Sapp had 24 pts on 6-7 shooting from 2, 6-6 from the line, and 2-5 from 3 pt range. He also had a board, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 turnover.
Jeff had 34 pts on 12-18 from 2, 10-15 from the line, and 0-3 from 3. He also had 9 boards, 2 assists 1 block and 5 Turnovers.
Wallace also had 24 pts on 6-8 shooting from 2 and 4-7 from 3. He also had 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 turnovers.
Summers had 10 pts on 3-9 shooting from 2, 1-2 from the line, and 1-3 from 3. He also had 2 boards an assist and 2 Turnovers.
Macklin had 6 pts on 3-6 shooting, 5 rebounds, 1 blk and 1 turnover.
I don't have the exact stats for Rivers cause someone else was keeping track of them, but he prob only had like 2-4 pts.
In earlier games:
Thornton had 1 pt on 1-1 shooting from the line, 0-6 from 3, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 turnover.
Crawford had 13 pts on 1-2 shooting from the line and 4-5 shooting from 3. He also had 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 turnover.
Ewing Jr. had 15 pts on 6-8 shooting from 2, 3-5 shooting from the line, 0-3 from 3. He also had 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal .
Spann had 4 pts on 2-6 shooting from 2 and 0-1 shooting from 3. he also had 3 boards and 2 blocks.
Egerson had 8 pts on 3-3 shooting from 2, 2-2 from the line and 0-1 from 3. He also had 4 rebounds and 1 assist.
oh, and Izzo had a rebound.

Okay, so maybe the three point shooting will be a bit or a problem. Still its all good.

I'd say Wallace and Crawford were great from 3 and Sapp was also good. I don't think those stats show any need for concern.

I Thornton had 1 pt on 1-1 shooting from the line, 0-6 from 3, Ouch. At least Jessie seems to be knocking down his outside shots more consistently.

We tried to lie to him so it wouldn't upset him, but he saw through it. I will write this thing up tomorrow night as I've got some work to do tonight and an early morning tomorrow. GREAT game though. Probably the best played Kenner game I've seen in three years of watching...the first half was unreal and received a standing ovation at halftime. Also probably the biggest crowd I've personally seen at a Kenner League game. I have a new respect for the statisticians at games after today by the way.

Good point on the crowd - it was huge. The belachers were almost filled. I suck at estimating crowds, but I'd guess 500+ easy.

I thought Rivers looked pretty sloppy. The freshmen must be a bit overwhelmed as Macklin & Summers didn't really get a lot of minutes either considering they started. I am also curious how they will do against top shelf competition. Outside of Gtown, V. Tech & GW, the rest of the players are primarily from small colleges: AU, W&L, Niagara, Amherst?, etc. I think Summers is going to contribute a lot & Macklin will get minutes. I don't see Rivers getting minutes this year but I also missed most of the Crawford, Thorton performances and all of the Spann, Egerson performances.
That is going to be the most interesting piece of the puzzle since Roy, Jeff, Jon & Jessie are all dialed in starters. And based on what others have said, I would guess Ewing fills in the last spot. That leaves Summers, Egerson, Crawford, Thorton, Spann & Rivers to compete for time at the reserve guard/wing and Macklin/Summers to fill in for the bigs.
The biggest key may be to get some solid ballhandling (ex..Sapp last year) out of the reserves so we aren't turning the ball over is Sapp & Wallace are both out of the game.

Egerson demonstrated a decent long-ball stoke at times last year. If he can gain some consistency, there's plenty of opportunity to get minutes in the backcourt.

Although Rivers didn't exactly dominate the game, I was really impressed with his jumping ability. He had an aggressive take to the rack and nearly flushed it in traffic. Good to see the confidence. Did anyone catch "White Chocolate" from MTV's Streetball show a few years back in the earlier game? He was bar-none the worst player on the court and the crowd let him know it.

White Chocolate is Randy Gill. He played (still plays?) for Bowie State and from what I've heard is a "friend of the program." And almost played for the Esherick Hoyas a few years back. He didn't seem particularly bad to me. I thought Josh Thornton's 0 for the night performance may have been slightly worse.
Roy and Jeff were very impressive. Same with Wallace. I don't think anyone mentioned that Jeff was down for a minute or so (scary) after what I believe was an inadvertent kick to the face. He walked off and re-entered a couple minutes later to sighs of relief.

I continue to really like Egerson, but he looked noticeably, um, zoftig to me. Now, he's naturally a big, broad guy, which is fine, but he almost certainly could stand to lose some pounds. Especially since his minutes are going to be coming largely in the 2 slot (if at all) this year. He can do some thing Crawford can't, but Tyler is completely ripped and just looks to be in better shape.
