How can you be Mr. Bracket when your team hasn't made the NCAA's since Karl Malone was in college?

MOVIES ARE UP!!! The Duke Youth didn't make the cut, but the random La Tech guy did. And so did Murph. His video, in my opinion is the best, partly b/c he doesn't talk much (which all the other tools did). Of course, with our fight song, there's no time for him too. Also, the guy from Tennessee needs to light himself on fire. The world will be a better place if he does. sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=mrbracket/finals/men

1/ Vote for the tennessee guy and the terrorists have won! 2/The guy from uCON sounds like he is going to cry until he starts to sing the fight song. I turned it off at that point because I was satisfied that this was filmed in the city where they lost to Mason. 3/Really wanted the chubby kid to be running towards the camara. Watching the flab shimmy would have been given me a chuckle. 4/LTech guy used the term crunk in his video. I think that that white people he use the term crunk should result in mandatory jail time. He also tried to 'excite' me with tales of women's basketball. Couldn't handle his accent either.

Great video Murph! I haven't watched the other videos yet, but Murph's is a solid effort.

My thoughts: 1 - Gonzaga kid doing "Cribs": What a loser. I feel like to punch him. Wearing Dickeau signed sneaks. Jerk. 2 - UConn: He sounds like David Puddy... "gotta support the team." Plus, the video production is garbage. Jerk. 3 - The Tenn Loser as "Napoleon Dynamite": Not a HORRIBLE impersonation, but useless. And a tat in his mouth? C'mon man... stupid. But I did laugh at the dance because it was so awful, and "Ol' Rockytop" or whatever its called ain't that shabby a fight song. A close second, but still... jerk. 4 - The LA Tech guy: I have a question for this guy... has his team ever won anything? Or are we actually giving this guy dap for cheering on his women's team? PATHETIC. I want him swimming with fishes (he can join Gottdweeb). And another thing... was he speaking English or retarded? BIG jerk. 5 - Spartan Spirit: If someone wants to take their own life, don't call Kevorkian... hang out with this kid for a half-hour. Yawn. Could have gone without the girl laughing in the background. And a shot of his nipples. Jerk. 6 - UCLA spud: I swear I saw that kid trying out for "American Idol." What a total mook. I would rather have seen that stupid ESPN/ABC/CBS commercial where the obviously semi-retarded Bruin fans point out what is a "basketball" and a "court" and the like. Jerk. Finally... 7 - Murph: Maybe the worst singer ( ) but best production by far. Just wish he'd gotten the chance to do the comedy thing around campus. Well done. EDIT: Murph is losing, people. VOTE!!! REPEATEDLY!!!

That article could just as easily appear in The Onion.

Great job Murph! Creative; liked the use of Georgetown & DC scenes. Appropriate too: can't understand what GU's all about without appeciating the city it's part of. none of the other videos could use their home city's landmarks with integrity like he could.
I actually liked the Gonzaga guy; maybe because he seemed fairly normal and genuinely dedicated. The others seemed to confuse being wierd for dedication.
The Lousiana Lady Techsters should get a restraining order out on Orges; he's scary.

I actually liked the Gonzaga guy; maybe because he seemed fairly normal and genuinely dedicated. The others seemed to confuse being wierd for dedication. You liked the Gonzaga guy? Genuinely dedicated? Cmon, having two huge ESPN towels in your room and saying to them, "I love you guys?" I mean, you can't have more blatant brown nosing than that. Take it elsewhere, scrub. Tennessee's version of Napoleon Dyanmite had a pretty good impression, but the dancing was weak and seriously, Napoleon's pretty played out BY now. Would've been funnier a year ago. Drew Orges... yeah, he's scary. However, I think we can all agree that Murph's video was the best, very creatively done and professional. It's a tour of Georgetown and DC at the same time, with captions and the Hoya Saxa part at the end just kicks ass. One minor thing I might have changed: it might have been funnier instead of whispering in the library to have actually sang/yelled in front of some studying students. Their heads would have shot up and they wouldn't have known what the hell was going on. But the whispering is pretty cool too. Here we go Hoyas, this is more important than the Sweet 16 because this is something we can actually control. VOTE MURPH! sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=mrbracket/finals/men&POLL241=200000000000000

I lost it just looking at the still frame of Murph in the library. I'm actually Editeded now b/c I was totally in the general neighborhood when he was filming those monument scenes. Even though I'm sure he used a different Metro station to get down to the Mall/WH, it would have been hysterical to walk out of my apartment one day and be walking through the WG campus and see Murph in the cape and wig.
Actually, you wanna set that up? Just for the hell of it?

I thought it was tongue-in-cheek, but maybe I was giving the guy too much credit. Regardless, Murph's is clearly the best, though it looks like this is not going to be a vote based on the merits of the videos. VOTE MURPH

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Bracket winners, maybe next year your teams will make it into the NIT bracket!!! It must have been pretty cool following your team in the fan bracket poll instead of following them in the NCAA Tournament. Gosh, I wish I'd gone to Louisiana Tech or Penn State now.
