In the Shadows, Hoyas Drive On Focus on GMU Is Fine With Them By Camille Powell Washington Post Staff Writer Wednesday, March 22, 2006; Page E08 www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/21/AR2006032101885.html"Madeleine Albright talked about the tsunami of sound that rushed down to 34th Street when the Hoyas beat the Buckeyes. That's how she opened class yesterday," said junior Craig Kessler, who is a student in Albright's American foreign policy class. "She's excited for the Hoyas. We tried to get her to promise no final exam if we made it to the Final Four, but she said no to that."

From the Chris Seneca article:
"...realize that when the Hoyas play at the top of their game, they have proven that there is not a team in America that can keep up with them. The seventh-seed slight be damned, this is Georgetown’s tournament as much as it is anyone else’s."
Love it.

A 'Clash of the titans'By Barker Davis THE WASHINGTON TIMES[/b] www.washtimes.com/sports/20060323-120048-5567r.htmHibbert listened to Noah's tale and chatter with a wry smile before responding: "Yeah, I heard his comments. We're just going to play the game. It does elevate my intensity to hear guys talking, but you've got to keep a level head. We do things differently. We do things the Georgetown way, so I'm not going to get into a war of words. It's fine if he wants to say stuff. We're totally focused on actions and trying to control the game with our offense. That said, I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't looking forward to the matchup."

Nevada, that should be required reading for current Hoyas. This guy had the nuts to step into what must be a somewhat intimidating world for the non-college bb fan. Hats off to the author.

Previewing Friday's Sweet 16 matchupsFox Sports - Frank Burlison msn.foxsports.com/cbk/story/5438536" Things to consider: Both teams played extremely well in their first two games, although the Hoyas (in Northern Iowa and Big Ten Conference regular-season champion Ohio State) faced the more formidable competition. All of Billy Donovan's sophomores, most notably Joakim Noah, have had exceptional seasons. But, if the Gators are to beat the Hoyas, they are going to have to do a much better job — and then some — defending Georgetown's half-court ("Princeton-style") offense than did Ohio State. Some of the Buckeyes may still have whiplash from getting beat backdoor so often. By the way, when will Hoyas' sophomore forward Jeff Green starting getting the national attention that is due him? Frank's Spin: Georgetown advances to the Elite Eight — and Green gets some of that credit he deserves."
