I wonder if Chivotkin would know what to do with an analyst? Good luck!

Having seen JTIII for two years now, I firmly believe that he will use this week of practice to focus on South Florida AND the BET. I believe he will use the game against South Florida as a dry-run for some things he would like to see at the BET. By then, we should have an idea of who our first round opponent is (if no bye) or the two possibilities (if on the bye). He won't let us "look past" South Florida, but I think he will use this game to sharpen specific aspects of the gameplan for the BET. From that perspective (rest + the BE doormat), if we get the bye, we have an almost perfect set-up for the BET and beyond... I agree Healy, but would just add this one modification - I think that the Cuse game was what we are going to be doing a lot of in the post season - driving to the hole and making people foul us so that we can keep our big line up on the court and cause real problems for them in the paint.

I'll have GU TV withdrawal symptoms by the time the BET rolls around. I'm sure next year we'll get double the TV coverage of this year.

We actually had 14/16 Big East games televised this year, as long as you were willing to go to a sports bar. That's not too shabby compared to the last few years.

For this game, I'm really hoping we play poorly and barely win. That seemed to work out pretty well last time.

This Saturday night play we the University of the south Florida bulls. This play is tricky, because the bulls terminate many crews in the Large East end to have played and them not the season without a profit wish. I'm scared! I'm scared! If the Hoyas remain lucky University of Hoyas, they have to win the opportunity, in order to clasp a passover in the first circulation of the conference tournament. So hopeful this permits our players to play with a high leval the feeling.
Which concerns tomorrow's play between the university of the Louisville of cardinals and believes the golden eagles of the Marquette university, I that our brothers in Kentucky are victorious. They are crazy to win on their main court on Older Night. A profit gives them the probability to play in the Large East tournament but a loss terminates their season this weekend. I believe that Mr. Pitino has its crew to play their premium basketball of the classification!!

I'm not positive about this, but didn't nostradamus start posting around the same time as we started a 3-game losing streak?
Not a good sign. First BD?CD? gets moved, now the bad luck seer is back in town. I don't like it.
BAN THIS FALSE PROPHET!!!!!!!

Let's go BoBo. Once the first lay-up falls, the three-ball falls and he busts loose for 15pts. It would have happened against Cuse were it not for a few bad breaks on some athletic plays.

Bad sign: I have to keep reminding myself that we haven't already finished at 11-5. I've made so many posts about BET scenarios and none of them include us losing.

South Florida is more West Central Florida. They should name the schools in Florida better.

I think it's very positive that they played us close last time - we're not going to take them lightly despite their record. That was the only GU game I've been able to see live this year and I have to tell you it was pathetic. I had such low expectations at that point and I really credit the team for how they've improved.
Also, and this is sort of off topic, but anyone care to speculate on where we would be had that last shot (or was it second-to-last?) shot fallen and they had beaten us that night at MCI? That was 4 days before Duke. I honestly think if we lost that night we could be 15-11 and not 19-7 right now. (The loss against USF then Duke, probably Pitt, maybe ND, and even pick one more)
Sometimes you count your blessings and never know when the turning point will come.

I think Louisville's win tonight makes even a close game even less likely...we have performed really well in so-called "trap" games this season (see: St. John's, DePaul, Cincinatti). I actually think one of the best things about this team post-Duke is that we haven't really played down to the level of competition. Everyone on the team knows how crucial the bye is, and they'll come to play...I say Hoyas by double digits.

I agree, singleu. Beat USF and we get the bye. We've had a week to prepare, a week to rest. The fact that we control our own destiny means this isn't a trap game. We can't look past this game. This game has immediate relevance now that a win gives us the bye. JTIII and the boys know what this game means. We win by a minimum of 12 points and I think Roy and JG dominate.

We don't control our own destiny completely. We still need WVU to beat Cincy.

I always wondered about the naming of south florida cause i've been there a couple times since my cousins and grandparents live in tampa. How can they claim to be the university of south florida when half the state is below where they're located. It boggles the mind.
