Ran into this problem last season - DirecTV doesn't carry NC8 (or at least I've never been able to find it) Oh well. I guess it's espn.com. Kudos to ESPN for a week's worth of basketball games for free. It works pretty well if you have cable. I only wish I knew someone else from another school who loved college b-ball as much as I do who'd be interesting in splitting an online subscription to Full Court.

So GUHoyas.com says the game is on NC8, locally. But my onscreen programming guide does not show it, and TVGuide.com does not either. Does anyone have confirmation that it will be shown?

GUHoyas has it as an NC8 game. Alternatively you could pay for a trip to NY and sit in front of all of the other fans that are actually cheering - because apparently that's what college basketball is - paying to sit in front of other fans and not cheer.

NC8 never showed the Hoyas games they carried last year in the guides either so I presume it's on NC8 today.

The SJU game is scheduled to be on MSG Network on Sunday. I have DirecTV - does anyone know whether this means I'll be able to watch the game in DC? I just checked. Yes, the game is being shown on DirecTV channel 621 (MSG).

St.Petersburg--What exactly is that supposed to mean?

Thanks guru for mentioning the game is free on ESPN full court this week! The radio station streaming is down so this is the only way other than a game tracker in which i will be able to follow the Hoyas tonight. Watching on the internet will beat the heck out of the radio.
Go Hoyas!

For those to lazy to hunt for it, the link for the ESPN Full Court video feed is: espnch.feedroom.com/Doesn't seem compatible with Firefox, so you'll need to use MS Internet Explorer.

Got the sports package, set tivo, and then went to the store -- came back, and I find out that MSG is blacked out for some odd reason. So furious. called Directtv, and they said ESPN has the rights to pretty much all the College BB games, and they can order blackouts whenever they want -- then said the only way to ensure that I'll see the games is by getting ESPN full court. Suck. Now trying to watch on the internet.

I think ESPN Full Court should show more games online for free. I still need convincing...

Does Fullcourt exempt you from blackouts? Because I watched the game at Rhino's on the MSG feed. Speaking of which, did you know that Rhino's is a Syracuse bar? WTF?? www.rhinobardc.com/

St.Petersburg--What exactly is that supposed to mean? It refers to something that Jack said in another post to which I took offense.

There's seriously NO reason in hell a bar should be a Red Sox and an Eagles bar beyond the obvious "gee, let's pander to the largest, trendiest fan base among GTown students in two major sports." And I demand during the next Syracuse game on TV that someone go to Rhino and find out exactly how many Syracuse fans sitting around on M street watching. Although that does bring up an interesting question Tom. I was at the Hoop Club Game Watch at Town Hall tonight...which is, um, a tiny bit more upscale than Rhino...and a couple of us were talking during the game about what it would be like if the HHC or someone decided to do a game watch at Rhino. Just as a fun contrast...not like it'll ever happen, but still.

Well, the 25 cent wings were good. The 8 dollar pitcher of coors light was good. The fact that we had to watch the first quarter of the game on a small tv in the corner by the bathroom was not. Though they put it on the big screen after that, mainly because we asked first (otherwise I'm sure they would have pandered to teh Duke fans watching that game).

Yeah I mean if Hoya Blue could institute 25 cent wings and 8 dollar pitchers of Coors Light at their game watches in the VC Lounge...I think that'd go over nicely. I guess the question now is what to do for a game watch on Wednesday night for WVU. Hoya Blue I thought I heard wasn't doing one. The Hoop Club has a TBA on their website (I'll have to figure that out tomorrow at the meeting). Lord knows I'd rather actually be at the game in Morgantown but I gotta work until 6 on Wednesday. Somebody in town's gotta be up for something.

We should be able to do it in VC alumni, since it's on full court. Otherwise it would be "go to your off campus friend's house" b/c none of the bars have cable, and nc8 is a cable only channel.
