If you're in the city, you can take a bus or the El into 69th Street Terminal (in Upper Darby, home of the Joe Hoya Family). The Norristown high speed line (Route 100, I believe) has a stop at Villanova, quite possibly within sight of the Pavilion (I don't know where the Pavilion is, but the 100 stop is across a field of some sort from the football stadium, so if it's close to that, then you're right there). I know that's what my dad and I took when we went to a couple VU football games back in the Brian Westbrook days. Wonder where he plays these days, wonder if he gets many carries...

For those interested...
I just checked my satellite schedule. Channel 610 is CSTV (but I don't get the package) and it shows G-town vs Navy starting at 7:30. I'm not sure whether I can make it or not but for anyone interested in catching the game at a philly bar, it might be worthwhile calling ahead to see whether they get that channel.
Later.

Comcast puts CSTV events on OnDemand from time to time so even if it doesn't air live in Philly, you may be able to see it over the weekend.

So, anyone up for an informal gathering on Friday night to watch the game somewhere? I'd be willing to make some calls tomorrow if there's enough interest. Suggestions, comments, whatever, any feedback is welcome.

Hey guys, your best bet is to check with your alumni association re: T.V. watches. I'm a 'Nova guy but I'm sure there's a local watering hole either in Center City, out by Penn or somewhere in the area that will have a bunch of your folks gathering to toast a brewski to the Hoyas.
Re: Tickets, Masshoya, trust me, the tickets you got were thru YOUR ticket office. The visitors get a very limited number, usually up in the high country in the arena's north end, up top. The others: right behind the bench, usually for traveling party from the university and players' comps.
Total is about 150 give or take. Capacity was listed long ago as 6,500, but the Pavilion (which socks as a building, by the way...) actually can jam in up to 8,000+for big games.
Usual capacity-plus crowd is about 76-7700. When tickets are REALLY in demand, the walk-up rows disappear totally in the student section (south stands) and you're looking at about 3,000 folks in that area.
Anyhow, I'm glad J.T.3 is doing a great job getting you guys back on the map. It'll bring some serious heat to the rivalry and I think V.U. and Georgetown will have some memorable battles over the years.
Good luck to you folks...but (have to say this, ya know)
GO CATS! (and, this weekend for sure, GO BUCKS!)

I would be totally up for watching the game. I even called Comcast to see if I could order CSTV and they passed on my comments to the marketing department.
That discouraged me from setting up anything formal for the game. Feel free to set something up and I'll get out an e-mail to the whole club.

I'm probably going to try watching the game at Barrister's if I can make it. I'm gonna call ahead though just to make sure they have the game.

Sounds like a plan. I think I'll do the same. If you see me there, I'll be the guy proudly wearing a "We Are Georgetown" shirt. '04'-05 edition, of course.

Sorry, i called barrister's and I'm not sure whether they have the channel or not (the guy I spoke to wasn't sure). Anyway, i called fox and hound and the guy told me they definitely are going to show the game and that it was gonna be on TV #9. Seemed more reliable. So anyway, I think I'm gonna head there unless someone hears differently about Barrister's.
