Last yrs team had no business losing any gms by 20+pts. Comparing last year's team to this year's team is totally unfair to EC. Last year's team had depth and talent at all positions and should have been better. Which is why they mostly played teams close in the 1st half and fell apart in the 2nd. This year's team has no front court depth and is inexperienced at all positions. I believe EC would've had last years team in the middle of the pack in the BE....We just have to suffer through this season and pray that EC finds a few upperclassmen in the portal and/or RW, DF and DM improve in all aspects of college ball. The question was whether we had endured these types of merciless beatings in the 2 previous seasons. I only really recall the Quette gms being merciless from start to finish. I'm not sure about Creighton and Provy but I'm pretty sure the rest of the gms were respectable going into half. Ewing's teams struggle after half and would always get down quick. And as previously stated, in most gms would make a late push to get the gm final around 10pts........but I still state that this years team is bad in the worse areas and them getting merciless beaten is understandable in the BE.

Another disaster in Philly. Reminds me of the St. Joe's game in 1966, where we thought we were equal to St. Joe's. The roads were closed in part and many of our undergrads got to the Palestra at half time, when a St. Joe's player put in a 35 foot shot at the buzzer to up the margin to about 30.
