You can answer this better than I can: what do you see as the root cause(s) behind Georgetown's slide in indoor track, and to a related extent, the outdoor sport?
It's not scholarships--this sport is fully funded.
It's not "just" facilities in that GU competed before with nothing.
Is it coaching, training, or merely that GU is no longer considered a destination for elite runners? I can understand not being able to be Top 10 in the NCAAs, and no one confuses the Big East with the SEC in track, but these results seem underperforming among Big East schools who are not prioritizing track as Georgetown, Villanova or UConn do. (GU has the third largest track budget in the conference behind Villanova and UConn.)
