With that win it places the men in 4th place. The women are in 8th place.

Women's 5000m
1 Chloe Scrimgeour Georgetown [SO] 15:50.62 2 Maggie Donahue Georgetown [JR] 15:51.72 7 Pippa Nuttall Georgetown [JR] 17:03.7
I was afraid that Buckley of Provy was going to win again as she did in the BE XC meet; she had taken the lead with three laps to go, but Chloe put down a 68 s last lap and Maggie a 69. Meanwhile Buckley could only manage a 72.

This puts the women in 6th place.
The men do not have any entries in the 5000m.

Both the Hoyas and the winner Nova were under the old meet record and facility record.

The women came in 5th with 94 points. The men came in 6th with 87 points to Butler's 88 and Marquette's 89. UConn won the women's title with 214.5 and the men's with 284.

While there's plenty of room for improvement in the team scores, it seems like there will always be a ceiling in our indoor and outdoor meets that is well short of first place, unless/until the GU program puts some emphasis on building up field events.

Yeah...this is a good example of legacy McDonough/Georgetown non-transparency. Is there a long-term vision for how the university intends to address or resolve this? Are we just to assume that after they rebuild Yates on top of Shaw Field, they will build a regulation track and field space in the current Yates footprint? Is that even still the plan? What is the timeline for that - 2030? 2035?

Very true, there are too many field events that we do not even have entries in. All of the weights, pole vault, decathlon and heptathlon, and even some of the running events.

Joshua Paige was named the Men's Most Outstanding Track Performer for the second consecutive year and is the only athlete in. league history to do so back to back. Besides winning both the 100 and 200, he ran a blazing 47.09 on the third leg of the mens' 4x400 relay. And Melissa Riggins is only the second runner in league history to win the 800 back to back. Check out the GU athletic website for more info about all of the Hoya athletes.

Nobody is going to win the BE indoor and outdoor championship besides UConn, unless UConn leaves the conference. They are too deep in virtually every event. Being a state school sure helps.
A real track at Georgetown will probably not be a reality in my lifetime. I will always remember the former track (on top of Yates?) where I saw an evening track meet when two Hoyas paced another Hoya to a 1:47 800m.
